International Trump/Putin Summit

So did they overeact to what they thought he said or his BS double negative he came up with today? Is Trump supposed to be boldly taunting Putin with double negatives or sheepishly acquiescing to his denials in the name of diplomacy? What exactly do you think happened here? And when did Trump ever GAF about reaction, Mr tell it like it is is really cucking this one up.
I agree Trump could have given a better explanation. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet, even if you think you did nothing wrong. His excuse yesterday reminded me a lot of Clintons "definition of is" which probably seemed like a decent idea until he said it out loud.

I looked on his Facebook and they are acting like nothing happened.

A successful meeting with President Putin happened.

The media and the anti-Trump people are freaking out again. Is normal.

Yes. He successfully tucked dick and looked weak and soft.
It was like watching ice cream melt but somehow still keep its lumpy shape

I watched the full 45 minute press conference and that wasn't my takeaway.

I guess YMMV.

Successful would have included talking about Putin's fuckery, instead we got obsequious knob slobbering. Great leadership.

Didn't see much in the way of "obsequious knob slobbering".

With Putin by his side, Trump announced that US-Russia relations have never been worse than they are now. Is that to be considered "obsequious knob slobbering"?

I just saw on morning joe trump said the US pays 91% of natos budget. When it's actually 22. Incredible. Trump lives in his own world. Imagine having to deal with this kind of person where facts just aren't real and a person completely removed from reality.

Firstly, he's fucking stupid if he actually believes that hyperbole.
Obsequious knob slobbering is slagging your own intelligence agencies on foreign soil while praising a dictator who's actively working against our interests and close to treasonous.

its an alliance. That's why they are called allies you fucking idiot. Note the only time this has happened is after 9/11. This is shit Republicans would flip out over if anyone else said it.

The alternative facts Presidency, I still can't figure out how he gets so many people to go along.

Yeah, but he was inexplicably advocating for Putin before the election meddling claims.

Beyond even that though, just think how simple it would be to have just said, "yeah duh, they meddled, it made no difference, nobody can even legitimately claim that it made a difference, so fuck Russia, now let's talk about the economy."

Instead he has been tripping all over himself making things more difficult since the start of his administration: his questioning of US intelligence all along to his bleating back Putin's claim of innocence all along, to Trump firing Comey for his work on this investigation and Trump then telling the Russians it relieved great pressure, to him congratulating Putin for winning his election despite everyone in his cabinet putting a note in his lunchbox not to, to his calling Meuller's investigation a witch hunt even after being briefed by Rosenstein last week, to his response to the DOJ's indictments of blaming Obama without even one negative word about Putin, to his condoning the behavior of the Russian intelligence agents as them just doing their jobs, equals what you would expect from someone who has engaged in some type of conspiracy with Putin, particularly with his statements about the EU last week along with him advocating for Russia to be brought back into the G8.

Nobody can even answer why the Helsinki meeting took place in the first place, and nobody can answer what the purpose of the meeting was, nor could anyone find any precedent for a POTUS meeting like this or why Trump wouldn't have someone (e.g. Pompeo) with him, or even what Trump's positions were. And then he again trips all over himself not to blame Russia in the press conference and states that it was a good idea for the people who did the hacking to be involved in the investigation, and what a great and smart guy Putin was for offering that opportunity....Trump is dirty!

"STFU hater! Trump had a successful meeting to improve relations with Russia. Also, Obama once said something to a Russian on a hot mic so Trump ain't all bad if you liked Obama too!"

From Politifact (2016):

"We spend about 75 percent of the entire cost of the military aspect of NATO."

Bernie Sanders on Thursday, April 14th, 2016 in the Democratic debate in Brooklyn, N.Y.

By NATO’s count, total defense spending of all NATO members stood at about $900 billion in 2015 in current dollars. The United States’ share was about $650 billion. Do the math, and the percentage comes to about 72 percent.

Trump says we pay between 70% and 90% depending on the method of calculation. Source: Trump's interview with Tucker Carlson yesterday.
