Vance looks like he's had his eyebrows manscaped.

He has a "babyface" so the beard is definitely a good call on his part to look more like an authority figure.

He looks AI generated

This is looking like a almost okish pick so far.
He was agaisnt the war in Iraq.

There are some good voting record from him.
I think this was a mosly okish pick i think i can see why Team Trump pick JD vance over others.

Its a good thing it wasn't Niki Haley.

The Vice President debates are going to be interesting.

Exactly my point.
It's a fair point and not sure... she has to align enough to grab the base as well as grab the center left. But the point is good. I thought McCain should have chosen Lieberman (dem). Looking at the guy.. he's young with an Indian (ethnicity) wife. Both Yale law grads. Not as well known from a political history standpoint. Guess we will see

The fact that she was SO staunch and apparently saw the Republican light now being disgusted with Dems would be a great story on the campaign trail.

Got to love Politico. Their first thing to know about Vance is.

1. Vance wants to radically transform U.S. politics:

edit: their follow up tweets with the rest of the list. Right off the bat, they go to once opposed Trump, and then right back to wanting to end democracy. Too predictable

Lmfao. The second pic is fine, the first one... he looks like he's about to start recording a confession video

No doubt. Definitely could have garnered more of the left leaning repubs and the right leaning dems. And for sure a good story.

Imagine the fight in the mornings over the makeup chair.

Chose yes, but I don't really love the pick, would have preferred Vivek or Tulsi.

Not my first choice, but better than Rubio, Tim Scott, or Haley.

You want the guy that wants to up the voting age to 25….

Conversely I'm interested how that will work out for Vance being in his own words he was a "Never Trumper", but it needs to be spun which I'm sure it will be.

Vance stopped being a "Never Trumper" by 2018. Seems like he has been firmly on Trump's bandwagon ever since.

It does show though that if Trump makes some bad decisions, Vance will probably not stay loyal to him.

I think the Vance selection shows that Trump is pretty damn sure November is in the bag.

If the debate didn’t happen and somebody didn’t try to kill him..I guarantee he would’ve gone with somebody else.

Vance isn’t a traditional “campaign boost” VP pick that perhaps a Haley, Burgum, Scott, Rubio, or even Gabbard would’ve been. This is a “the guy I want to lead with me” pick. This isn’t made to appeal to anybody in particular except his solid base.

Trump picked Pence last time to simmer some neo-cons down. He obviously has no regard for them with the Vance selection.

This won’t move the needle for Trump’s campaign one way or the other but it does put a good right winger by his side

What I don’t like about the move is that it opens up a senate seat. Republicans lost Alabama to clear room for Sessions failed tenure as AG.

Ohio is trending solid red but it’s dangerous to open up a seat that will likely be open in an off election year runoff where upsets are most common in even blood red states like Alabama. So that’s a drawback
