Law President Vance? (Hypothetical 25th scenario)

JD Vance would be downgrade from Trump, if that could even be possible. Vance is always addressing Americans with such visible disdain. He is incapable of basic decency when the moment calls for diplomacy.

He reminds me of a shitty antagonistic defence lawyer giving closing arguments for his criminal client. Nobody should want this punk ass bitch leading anything.

I wouldn’t trust this filthy liar with anything. And above all, he’s grossly unqualified. I hope Americans are never stuck with this pathetic imposter larping as leader.

Its actually a good thing that Trump cant stand Vance, and I'd put money on that Trump funds Vance nauseating and creepy, as well as having never forgiven him for the Hitler comment. Vance is ONLY there as a favor to Thiel and Musk (but more so Thiel, of course), the technocrats who want their CEO/dictator technocratic fiefdom.

It's like we didn't have an election just over a year ago.

Also, the standards for invoking the 25th Amendment have been greatly reduced.

They have not been reduced. I think it would likely happen in conjunction w/impeachment and removal if Greenland escalates to military action.

That's fuckin' bizarre.

If “visible disdain” is your "standard" -- JD Vance literally called Trump unfit for office, immoral, compared him to “America’s Hitler” -- and mocked his voters as “cultural heroin addicts” back in 2016.

Do people just blank their minds out with better beer or drugs than I have? Or is this a willingly acceptable normality of human response?

Only asking for comedic effect.

Pretty sure he didn't even know he was pres the last couple -- what a can of worms that would be under the 25th to argue a guy who doesn't know -- yet shielded by all those that CLEARLY did, heh.

That's how elections work in my country, assume it's the same in the US.
Ehhh…. It mostly used to be that way. I mean yeah, in the end people generally accept it and just deal with it. But because we have the electoral college, those rare occasions when the popular vote and electoral vote don’t align are very unpopular elections. That was the case with Bush in 2000 and Trump in 2016, a lot of people didn’t want to accept those elections because the person who “won” wasn’t the person that the majority of the country voted for.

And of course from 2020 on, Trump started the playbook that if you lose you just pretend it was fraud and the whole thing was rigged, and all of that nonsense. That shit trickled all the way down. Kari Lake never admitted she lost the election in Arizona, in 2022 or 2024.

I just posted this in the "Neo North America" thread in response to someone asking the odds of Trump surviving past 2026:

I think it depends on what you mean by surviving. If you mean in the literal sense, I'd guess about a 1 in 4 chance. If you mean remaining president, I think when the Republicans get smoked in the mid-terms, they'll remove him via the 25th amendment and either continue Trump's campain against the constitution, or try to make a show of cleaning up his mess; either way the goal will be for Vance to stay in power for at least the next 2 presidential elections. If the Dems in the Congress grow some backbone I'd give Vance and co. odds of success about 1 in 3, but if not it's more like 4 in 5 to me.

Other people have mentioned the likelihood that they will use ICE to interfere with people trying to vote. I suspect they will use the mid-terms as a trial run to see how far they can go before going full tilt in the general in 2028.

Of course, I could be totally wrong all around, but as the effects of what Trump is doing become more evident between now and November it will become clear they'll get crushed if they don't take "special measures to protect the electoral process".

I heard it on good authority that she is pulling ahead..

I understand he is upsetting you. But if nobody took Biden out of office then ain't nobody taking Trump out of office.

Do you use Vaseline, coconut oil, or some water based lubricant when you write this kind of fan fiction?

He's gonna serve the whole term without a doubt, whether Vance wins the next election who knows but right now I'd say unless the Democrats start running more mainstream and appealable candidates and ideas then yeah he probably will. The majority of the population of any country won't vote for someone running mainly to appease fringe groups.
