It seemed like China's main bargaining chip has been the rare earth metals. With Trump signing a rare earth metals deal with Australia, along with other deals and investments in that field this year, I can imagine China's main bargaining power is eroding. I can imagine that helps to create a deal with China.

With that said, i have little trust in the communist Chinese government.

China is a terrible trade partner and terrible to even do business with. At trade shows we were told not to even engage chinese peeps walking though. Some things need to change with them and the trade issues. Tariffs are leverage. Whether they work or not is a question. Depends on the other side and how long each side holds out.

I agree China is terrible.
You know what else is terrible is setting tariffs on allies while trying to go after China.
The smart thing would have been shoring up your allies then going balls to the wall with China.
Instead we tariff the world because Trump has surrounded himself with Lickspittles.
