Law Trump just pardoned 1.5k rioters and Proud Boys.....

I keep getting conflicting numbers but apparently only 6-10 have been incarcerated awaiting g trial. Again if ONE Rikers inmate waiting for trial for is too long to be in jail, it’s too long for them too

I didn’t like the wording either, awaiting trial or a guilty plea…. That’s like hanging a plea agreement over someone, with threats of max sentences. The article could have meant they are working a plea deal though.
But you aren't giving any time frame. How long was the Riker's inmate jailed compared to these people?

Some over three years, but again there was a thread about an inmate I think was Rikers, that like went crazy waiting, and it was 3-6 years?

One of the Amendments guarantees a speedy trial so if too much time elapses they either have to go to trial or drop the charges. 3 years sounds like too much time to me so those guys might actually deserve the pardon.

I appreciate your "more flies with honey" approach, but you might as well try to drive a wooden spike into concrete with a sledge hammer.

I’ve literally said even 1 is not right Andy.

Multiple times.

In this thread.

I don’t know why you find the above post funny either.

We hear all the time that the confessions or pleas oh guilty were under duress.
Yeah, I'm sure all those people caught on camera assaulting police officers were coerced into plea deals. <36>

What's not right, exactly? People paying the price for being traitors to their country? They're lucky they weren't all shot.

It’s good to know you think the one that was shot deserved to die Andy.

so Andy can you please now post proof that every person that accepted a plea deal assaulted police?

I’ll wait.

How about just I was right, and 3 years is too long to wait for a trial.

Delete. This a weird double post somehow.

She was shot passing the very last barricade between the mob and the government officials.

I swear to you I care more about Ashli Babbitt than any of the conservatives on this forum. When I heard that she had been shot I immediately looked her up and found her YouTube page; it messed me up. Watching videos of her in her kitchen talking about cookie recipes hit me right in the solar plexus. She had some extreme material but mixed in with that I found plenty of absolutely normal, charming videos. I found myself alone in front of my computer, watching everything in her library, quietly crying.

I blasted people who mocked her in major threads at the time, because she was a human being and joking about her death was disgusting.

Did she deserve to die? I can't really answer that question, or rather I'm not likely to ever say someone deserves to die. It's certainly the worst outcome. Make no mistake, though, she didn't expect to survive January 6th. In her last video she said she didn't expect to survive the protest; I don't know if she was just being dramatic or if she believed it, but it feels to me like she knew what she was doing when she started to go through that barrier.

She was a deeply disturbed woman and as I followed up on reports of her life, I was deeply saddened that she didn't have anyone close who could help her deal with her issues.

Are you suggesting being a member of the Proud Boys makes you guilty for being there regardless of any actions you did or didn't take part of?

I don't know the details of each defendant, but that Terrio(sp) guy wasn't even in DC.
So what?

The organizer and leader of a premeditated attack on the peaceful transfer of power should be set free because he wasn't there in person?

You must have skipped a lot of school because your reading comprehension is awful. I never used the word deserved nor did I imply it. In most countries on this planet, a violent attack on the seat of government would be met with gunfire. If you're even dumber than I thought I will post examples of times this has already happened upon request. All I said was that they were lucky to have not been fired upon.

Ever heard of Kent State, by the way?

<lmao>

Well, you'll need to demonstrate I claimed that first. Good luck with that, but note I will remind you when you duck that too.

Sure Andy, I ve already explained multiple times why I don’t post links, and have posted proof but of course you are/won’t do it.

She was one of many and she wasn’t even armed (unless you count a folding knife, which I admit I don’t know the size of)
