Law Trump just pardoned 1.5k rioters and Proud Boys.....

I totally agree with that. Many of the demonstrators weren't there to disrupt election related proceedings though. I saw many respecting the cordoned areas (doubt it's the right term - hope you understand what I'm saying).

You really think the US Justice Department was unable to sort these minor offenders from the more severe ones?

Yes, I do. It's not even up for debate. They do it every day. Many violent offenders often get a tap on the wrist while January 6 peaceful demonstrators got harsh sentences. Nothing was gained by this show of force.

The justice department should have concentrated its efforts on the violent rioters. These scumbags deserved everything they got. I think the sentences should have been stiffer in many cases.

It doesnt matter. In Trump and MAGA's eyes no wrong doing is done if committed for Trump. Why for the first time in my life i voted for a Democrat this past November. Rather have a bureaucratic statesman over a lawless authoritarian.

I think you are going to find that the rank and file don't think like you believe. People are not good with violent rioters given a pass. I'm not. I was for seeing any non-violent protestors being set free.

I mean, this is just a mush of different things that aren't at all related.

They concentrated their efforts on anyone they had evidence on, especially the violent rioters that were just let out.

How can a campaign slogan have eyes?

I have personally never understood the logic behind why assaulting a police officer is considered worse than assaulting a private citizen.

If anything it should be given a lesser sentence. The government are supposed to be here to serve the people, not the other way around.

For cops, getting roughed up a bit is part of the job description the same way it is for a bouncer imo. It's a physical job.

No way man. Especially the "If anything it should be given a lesser sentence" part.

Cops have one of the most thankless jobs ever, long hours, while putting their lives on the line many times during things as simple as a traffic stop or noise complaint. You SHOULD get more time than usual violently attacking someone who is authorized to keep people safe and enforce laws. Someone taking selfies in the building getting an unjust punishment? Okay makes sense. Guys who tazed a police officer in the neck while rioters held him down? NEVER should have gotten a pardon. This shouldn't even be up for debate.

Thanks for proving my point, she didn’t give money to blm, she tweeted out a fund that does. Where did she give the money lol?

In an interview with theGrio that was published on Monday morning, Waters said she was “nonviolent” and said her remark about being “confrontational” was in regard to changing the justice system in the US.

“I talk about confronting the justice system, confronting the policing that’s going on, I’m talking about speaking up,” she said. I’m talking about legislation. I’m talking about elected officials doing what needs to be done to control their budgets and to pass legislation.”

Yep thanks for playing again.

lol at trying to claim that just cause she “far left” she isn’t part of the squad

Did she not just the chance to head the Democratic Party? lol

Nah. That's not what you're doing. You said: "Was anyone violent?" You know many were so it shows you're a dishonest hack.

There were demonstrators and violent rioters on January 6. The justice department treated both the same way and it was a shame. Now Trump treats both the same way and it's a shame.

The violent rioters should rot in jail for a while.

"There were demonstrators and violent rioters. . . the justice department and Trump treats both the same way and it is a shame"

I agree with you.

Some of the guys in prison are political prisoners that got arrested for wearing funny outfits. That is wrong. Some might deserve to stay in prison.

My point is the event was sensationalized by the media and political prisoners were taken.

And sure, a blanket pardon is just as bad as a blanket conviction, both wrong.

Your not fully grasping the rationalization process of Trumps republican party. Along with the dominance that mainstream and new news media have by encouraging these viewpoints.

I'm not good with that. The violent ones should have to do their time. My only exception would be if a judge gave them extraordinary time in relation to their crime compared to others.

Trump fucked this up. He should have let those that attacked police stay in their cells.
It was over 4 years ago. How in the absolute hell would it not be excessive time compared to similar "crimes" for them to still be in jail? The only way you're still in jail 4 years later for shoving someone is if they accidentally hit their head and died, which didn't happen here, or you have a long list of violent priors.

If this is happening then Fauci and Milley pardons can be ignored.

Nice try, you can’t tell people to be confrontational, to get in faces, to fight, then when they go riot claim you’re non violent, we’re talking about fighting the justice system and not promoting rioting.

Kamala supported the bail for violent rioters. You can spin it anyway you want, she did.
So I guess much like everything else, she expected us to pay fir it while she took the credit

It's the very thing Trump as accused of in his role for J6.

It’s like you said it. I don’t think either of them though the riots and Jan 6 would escalate to what they did, but if one is not forgivable the other is too

Man Sara, you shouldn't try this hard just stick to one liners.

A bail fund is not even close to an actual pardon.

such fine upstanding citizens are pardoned

For most of them it meets the definition.
For most of the ones who received prison sentences? <YeahOKJen> <lmao>

Can you show me all these people who were sent to solitary without trial for months on end just for going for a stroll on the grass? According to you there were several, right?
