Former President Trump intends to personally deliver part of the defense's closing argument at the conclusion of his civil fraud trial in New York on Thursday, sources familiar with the former president's strategy tell ABC News.

The defendants in the case -- Trump, his two eldest sons and two former Trump Organization executives -- are represented by three primary attorneys, Christopher Kise, Clifford Robert and Alina Habba. But sources say Trump himself is determined to deliver a portion of the closing statement.

The sources cautioned that plans for the defense's closing argument remain fluid.

Isnt it interesting how the fascists are counting on the decency of Biden? Like, they don't think Presidents should be prosecuted for crimes, except Biden. Prosecute HIM immediately. Their candidate doesnt need to concede an election so thoroughly lost that every Court in the Country laughed out challenges to it, but if Biden loses this year he should definitely concede power. And they think he just...will, because they know he's not as much of a disgusting narcissist as Trump, or any of the other right wing goons who have refused to admit they lost their elections in 2022 are.

This always happens when fascists cant use Military force to install themselves. They rely on the complacency and adherence to norms of their political opposition. This is the surefire signal that they KNOW Biden is, at the very least, a decent human being. They're counting on it. They're counting on him to be nice while they intend to seize power and never give it up again.

he already had his chance to speak while testifying under oath and subject to cross examination by the DA prior to closing arguments. he made the decision to not show up. tough shit for him. he doesn't get to show up to the closing arguments and turn this into a campaign event. that's not how it's going to work.

and tough shit, he is not a per se litigant. he doesn't get to do the closing arguments. even despite that, the judge was willing to humor him and let him make a few statements anyways, which is well beyond what him or any other judge would have done for any other defendant on this planet, and yet the orange rapists attorneys blew him off, even after he extended the deadline 3 times.

he doesnt get to have his cake and eat it. this is all just for show. if he had something to say he could have said it in the courtroom while under oath and subject to cross examination. but alas, zesto molesto has no balls. he decided to waive that opportunity and now he's gonna be putting on a show outside of the courtroom for his army of maga trash about how he feels he is being silenced and mistreated and "they won't let him speak", even though he had every opportunity under the sun to show up and explain himself and he made the decision not to, both as a defense witness, and now during the closing arguments.
