Elections Trump Indicted On 91 Counts

No no. It's not them causing the divide.

There are a number of really sharp legal minds accessible to we the people, but Michael Popok is my absolute favorite of any of the legal folks analysing this current miasma of Politics/Law. He really is a rare combination of practicality, insight and legal knowledge. I only came across Legal AF after the NY fraud case hit primetime, and he is the best guy to explain wtf is going on..
He's practiced law in NY (where the trial is being held) and FL(Where Chris Kise is from, and where the documents case is supposedly taking place) for over 30 years, and he knows all the players as well as the procedures relevant in both jurisdictions.

Summary of Trump's Jubilant January:

Civil Fraud Case NY--Judge Engoron
Jan 5: Final Briefing
Jan 11: Oral/Closing argument
Jan 15th ish.... likely judgement for $?-----asked for 250M, it will likely be 2-3x greater and include dissolution of NY entities, and disallowing all involved from running anything in NY ever again, especially after Trump was such a cunt during the entire trial.

I personally do NOT think that Judge Engoron will award the $750M that Popok is guessing, just so that there are no grounds for appeal based on malicious judgement. The continuous baiting done by Trump & Co. were not successful because Engoron is a great and level headed Judge, and I don't believe that he'd risk getting reversed by being overly aggressive now.

Presidential Immunity on Criminal Charges DC Court of appeals
Jan 8th : Oral argument on briefed arguments
Jan--11th ish... decision.
Likely a Scotus appeal regardless of outcome, and Scotus will likely react within a couple days of filing on whether to hear it or not.

E. Jean Carrol Defamation I (Comments made during Presidency) Southern district of NY Federal court, Judge Kaplan
Jan 16th : Trial begins; no stay pending Scotus appeal

-2nd circuit has already shot down his Immunity claim---because his team waited 3 years to assert (Thanks Alina Habba--you are the gift that keeps on giving--- to the prosecution), and on Blasingame precedent.

Scotus Decision on Appeal re: Presidential Criminal Immunity

Late January/Early February--really it's whenever the fuck they feel like it. They could hold off for 6 months to give Donny the delay he asked for for Christmas, OR they could render a decision immediately.

I personally believe that withholding decision is the only way that Scotus will be able to aid Trump on a lot of this stuff---the 14th amendment withdrawal from ballots, Presidential Immunity, the Obstructing an official proceeding charges (2 counts on Donny in the DC trial, but also hundreds of Jan 6 revelers that are currently in jail) because in my exceedingly limited understanding of legal process Donny is fucked on each and ever case going before Scotus.

As soon as they rule on Immunity---it's either game over, or game on in DC & Judge Chutkan will get that train moving sharpish.

As soon as they rule on the 14th amendment cases---it's either done, or Trump's run @ president will effectively be over, and Maga will release Bryce Mitchell on us all.

As soon as they rule on the applicability of the Obstructing an official proceeding--two of Donnie's DC charges will disappear as well as releasing Jan 6 criminals back into the wild, OR tiny-D still has the 4 Felonies in DC to contend with, and the insurrectionists stay in the pokey.

Let's here the spin on this one
I'm not sure much will come of this tbh, if your are relying on Trump's endorsement of something to decide whether or not to invest in a tech company..... uh, you're kind of buying a ticket on a ride that you can see isn't functioning.

But hey, if they can lighten tiny-D's wallet a little bit, I'm all for it.

Very interesting month this will be.

I'm watching some of the Twilight Zone marathon. Trump is basically Anthony all grown up lmao. Thank God he doesn't have the superpowers. We'd all be sent to the cornfields.

Looks like I'm not the first person to notice the similarities haha:

CNN —
A man was arrested early Tuesday after he broke into the Colorado Supreme Court overnight and opened fire inside the building, state police said in a news release.

The preliminary investigation “confirmed a high probability” that the incident is not connected to “recent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court Justices,” the Colorado State Patrol said.

The break-in comes two weeks after the court ruled 4-3 to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 ballot, finding he was ineligible to hold office under the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban.”

The FBI previously said it was working with Colorado law enforcement to investigate reports of violent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court justices following their ruling to remove Trump from the presidential ballot.

Tuesday’s incident began unfolding around 1:15 a.m. and ended nearly two hours later, when the intruder surrendered to police, according to the news release."

these people are deranged. there was alot of death threats getting sent out to the colorado secretary of state as well, and all she did was follow court orders.

you can bet that these people will be getting a knock on their doors.

schumer's incitement almost got a scotus judge murdered when a lunatic showed up with a gun, zip ties, a knife, pepper spray, duct tape, and more weapons.

silence and deflection from u pussies. "never happened! who? what? where? what's going on? i didn't see anything".
