i dont know i dont really have my eggs in that basket, its already gone alot further than i thought it would.

i mean i hope i end up wrong on this and it goes somewhere through appeals or whatever, but i've already folded this hand a while ago. hilarious to see them going through on it. especially seeing how it was 4 republicans in colorado who even brought this forward

this kind of shit would have to go to a supreme court. the appeals court might not really be able to do much to rectify this, unless the judge did like a really bad job of interpreting the law or something i dont know.

He got fired from so many sports media jobs, he decided his last chance to make money was to pivot to saying what the MAGA rubes want to hear. Problem is he telegraphs all his takes, its quite sad.

its a bullshit ruling though. "Yeah the court has found that he did in fact engage in insurrection, but unfortunately we aren't able to do anything about it!"

well i guess the next step would be to say "Okay.....then take us to somebody who will!"

thats probably easier said than done. it may as well just be open to interpretation because aint nobody gonna rewrite the constitution or change the legislature over this shit so it is what it is i guess.

One thing just occurred to me that throws a lot of weight behind your argument. Besides the painfully obvious intent to pass the buck up the ranks of appellate court, it may be the jurists feel he's likely to lose the current cases against him, and that it ought to cause him to lose the election, leaving them with no need to stick their necks out creating precedent. But again, disclaimer: it's just my lay speculation. I'm not claiming to know all about this stuff when we have actual Law Talkin' Guys on the forum.
