If you want to take a serious look at an issue, you have to look into the reasons for thinking a claim might be true or false. In this case, the accusation is not surprising (we know of Trump's low character and low intelligence) and is made by someone maybe in a position to have heard it from a credible source, but there isn't much evidence, and she clearly dislikes him. It's pretty specific (even names the person who helped him cheat). I'd say it's pretty open, but more likely true than not.

I think there's a large difference between aptitude and intelligence--they correlate often but not always. It's apparent to me he's like an idiot savant. Just not the kind you usually see. He's very able in front of a crowd, even when they are hostile; he knows how to be manipulative and take advantage of it; he knows his audience and exactly what they want; all that takes a combination of natural ability and practice, but it doesn't require any particular intelligence, IMO. On the other hand, a learning disability may explain the child-like language and he could be quite intelligent--I just don't buy it.

successfully dealing with complexity is a good measure of intelligence. the man got elected president on a campaign done basically by himself and having himself as biggest enemy. navigating the brutal rich people scene in the homeland of capitalism for decades and still somehow being in there is a highly complex task, requiring abilities which are undeniable. i know the left wont ever admit any kind of positive about trump, but that is not a reasonable stance, and it kinda disqualifies them as respectable interlocutors.

Likewise, there is overwhelming evidence that Russia illegally helped Trump in 2016 (the dispute is over the extent to which Trump's campaign was complicit in those attempts--we know that they shared internal polling data with Russia and that they met with them, and we know that the campaign did not report those contact attempts, and in fact lied about them).
