Opinion Trump administration in talks to send Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador prisons

What better way for the US to pay down their gigantic national debt then to export one of their greatest assets...crime...

Just Kidding. Zelenskys running low on nose nachos and Netenyahu needs another golden toilet.

This woman does not have legal status though.
No, but she is eligible for one and was applying for it, i never said she can't be deported, even people legally in America can be deported unless they have a green card.

She overstayed her visa and only applied for a green card. She doesn't currently have a green card and therefore at risk of deportation at any time. That is in accordance with the law.
Yup, but the point i was making is that they are going for the low hanging fruit because its easy to pad the numbers and fill the quota rather than going after criminals they are going for the people that want to do stuff the right way, because said people are known and their legal hearings are known.

Much easier than trying to get the criminals and people who are in America just for work and not to make a life.

So yeah, as expected, they didn't know whether they were gang members or not.

They violated a guy Constitutional rights, put him on a plane and threw him into a Salvadorian concentration camp full of gang members, that's certainly the stuff of nightmares.

Man should had just self-deported himself or go to another country.

I think that's part of their plan. Scare innocent people into thinking they're going to be sent to some dystopian hellscape in El Salvador with ZERO justification or due process thanks to a law from 1798. Cruelty is the point.

D.C. Judge Confused Why America Doesn’t Bow to His Decree

"My oral orders don’t seem to carry much weight."

Yesterday I noted that an Obama judge in D.C. had developed the novel legal theory that he was King of America.

Judge James Boasberg responded to a plea from four alleged Venezuelan gang members in Texas (who denied that they were gang members) afraid that Trump was going to deport them under the Alien Enemies Act (he didn’t) and issued an oral order commanding that planes deporting other gang members out of the country turn around (they didn’t)

The media reported this as Trump deporting gang members despite a federal judge’s order which only lacked minor things such as standing, the correct venue, and some tentative connection with the actual law.

Boasberg is back in the courtroom and threw a tantrum accusing the White House of ignoring his oral order and of scheduling the flights to get ahead of his oral order. The White House responded that it doesn’t have to follow oral orders. Kings give oral orders. In this strange American republican system, officials have to issue written documents instead of commanding, “off with his head”. Boasberg then complained that, “my oral orders don’t seem to carry much weight.”

This is understandably confusing for a D.C. judge under the impression that he runs America, and yet the waves won’t part at his word and planes don’t turn around. What’s a tyrant in black robes to do?

Honest question, what exactly is the job and authority of a federal judge?

doing this without due process, without proving that they are indeed illegal immigrants/criminals is a threat to legal citizens and is absolutely and completely unacceptable under any circumstances.

They're getting due process. Way more than most of the January 6th hostages for the most part. There's plenty of evidence they were a threat, and there's no legal reasoning that they have to stay in the United States while awaiting any legal proceedings.

That guy has become a national joke. He's currently trying to set up the Trump administration for a contempt charge and they're just laughing in his face.

His hatred for Trump and all things MAGA is well documented. He should've recused himself long ago. Here he is in his Ray Epps judgement painting Epps as a victim and calling J6 an insurrection and everyone who disagrees with him a cONsPirAcY tHeoRiST

Due process means that the due process is made public. Otherwise you have no way of vetting that due process. I am against even illegal criminals being sent to prison camps but that isn't really the issue here. The issue here is that people are being deported from the United States without due process and without transparency about that due process.

No American citizen should be comfortable with that because it opens the door for any administration to use that against American citizens and without the transparency they can just lie and say it isn't happening.

Everybody should be strongly against this move by Trump because of what it can lead to and frankly because of what it might already be and we would not know.

Just remember man. Everything Trump does here even if he's doing it entirely in good faith can be used against you by another administration.... For this reason nobody should be supporting government action like this without full and complete transparency.

Dude is corrupt and there's ulterior motives

Shocking how these activist judges have activists kids...

they are getting due process. Regardless, Trump can deport WITHOUT due process if he wants to given the Alien Enemies Act allows for deportation WITHOUT any formal process.

And conservatives need to put the argument "Everything Trump does here even if he's doing it entirely in good faith can be used against you by another administration," behind them. Trump could walk on eggshells and do every single thing the dems want him to do and they will STILL impeach him if they win the House in 2026. The democrats are going to do what they're going to do no matter what Trump does. He can just pardon himself and everyone around him for life when he leaves office. That was recently done by the previous POTUS, if I'm not mistaken.

When you say they are getting due process when they are not being transparent about that due process (which is the whole point of due process) and there's no way to prove they are you sound like a liar.

Can't you see the problem with not being transparent about the due process? It could be illegal what they're doing or it could be American citizens that they're deporting and we wouldn't know because they're not being transparent with the due process.

Furthermore, shipping them off to another country makes it impossible for lawyers or family members to check on them and see.... So that's another level of accountability that is completely missing.

This isn't about presidents pardoning themselves or friends as both presidents have done. This is about the potential for American citizens to be locked away and for there to be no way to check on if it was done legally or if it was even done at all.

@Fergelmince

If I had to define two opposing weaknesses for each side of the aisle, I would say that the Democrats often make mistakes due to an overabundance of compassion that fuddles their thinking sometimes and makes them make mistakes.

But I would say that the opposing limitation exists on the right in that right-wingers seem to be unable to process anything unless it affects them directly or someone they love. And since their circle of love is very small, lots of things don't affect them and they don't think about them deeply until they are effected.

The point I'm making is this could be used to come after you or someone you know and love and then you'll care but then it will be too late. You or someone you love could be locked away in El Salvador where no lawyer can reach you where no one can prove you're even there and where there is no record of you being there or even having been taken....

You should care now.

Liar? <lmao>

Calm your tits tarrapin.

they can be removed WITHOUT due process if Trump wants to do it that way. These are illegal alien criminals and even if they didn't get due process that's perfectly legal. However, it IS of major concern to me if it happens to American citizens like the J6 hostages.

You're misrepresenting the heat map meme. I do agree that I care WAY MORE about my family, friends and American citizens than I do about criminal venezuelans, palestinian terrorists, fungus and asteroids. And, yes that value system does seem to be reversed in leftwing radicals.

This isn't even a response to what I wrote and that's typical because the truth is you really haven't thought this out very deeply and don't care to.
