Troy is good and brad is juiced up looking great but Gladiator is still the goat by far. I like Troy though
I know right? It's just not talked about enough.I didn't even know there WAS a director's cut of Troy until now!
Gladiator's good, but a more personal story.Troy is good and brad is juiced up looking great but Gladiator is still the goat by far. I like Troy though
god i love gladiatorGladiator's good, but a more personal story.
I like that they found a way to incorporate Commodus' real life death into the movie, as he was indeed killed by a gladiator. He fancied himself a warrior, and actually did give himself advantages to make winning easier.god i love gladiator
Oh yeah, one of the best one on one fights in cinematic history. It might be the highlight of the movie. The fight between Hector and Achilles is fckin awesome. Some amazing choreography. Love how they captured that supreme confidence rockstar swagger of Achilles in that fight.
Probably the roofies I give you though.I've never managed to retain consciousness through an entire viewing of Kingdom of Heaven.

I AM AJAX, CRUSHER OF STONES! LOOK UPON ME AND DESPAIR!I rewatch Troy a couple times a year along with gladiator, Conan, lord of the rings, etc.. I’ll check out the directors cut for sure. Thanks for the heads up ts.
Edit: the big dude with the stone hammer was my favorite character and thought he got fucked over getting killed by hector. Didn’t realize he was the Ajax you spoke of. That’s awesome.
My wife and I rented this On Demand a number of years ago. We both fell asleep within the first 10 minutes. Never even bothered to try watching it again since that time.
Written by the same guy, actually. David fucking Beinhoff.Troy is basically GoT season 8.
That is one thing I like more about the original, the soundtrack to the Achilles vs Hector fight is actually worse in the Director's Cut.I guess I'm one of the few who prefers the original version, the soundtrack in the directors cut is horrendous.

That said Troy's writing is much less clumsy than Game of Thrones Season 8. I don't dislike it as much as others, but it doesn't feel nearly as natural as it used to.
