Brother no one becomes anything. It's folks changing their appearance how they like. What they "are", I don't care. Not here to argue metaphysics with a halfwit.
It is always a negotiation within society. If 20% of NY black guys decided that they are Chinese and speak mandarin, it will take sacrifices, performance, loyalty to their new identity for society to see them as a legit group and distinct identity that enriches the USA.

Used to be, to be a real tranny was a very expensive, almost luxury life. required a lot of effort, money, dedication, painful operations. the poors were just crossdressers, the weirdo ones with five oclock shadows and manhands wearing bad-fitting dresses and scaring children.

now, you don't need any effort to be one. just say you are and that's it. it completely impoverished the tranny life experience and made the entire tranny category 99% poverty lifestyle.

Insurance pays for it a lot of times.

If it was just people changing their appearance then 99% of people wouldn't care. It's when they start claiming that they are actually the opposite sex that people object to. Insulting me doesn't change that but it is a good example of why people like you are losing the argument.

Insurance was going to pay for my breast surgery after having a lumpectomy (I decided against it) but do you have examples where they'll pay for the whole lot? Like top, bottom, aftercare and subsequent counseling after? I haven't asked my friend if she paid for hers.

I mean it depends on specific insurances. But a simple Google search shows many insurances pay for gender affirming care and some do pay for bottom surgery.

What's more expensive in the long run are the hormonal drugs - because you have to take it for the rest of your life.

I mean we pay a fortune for our insurance so as long as you're 18 it probably should be covered. It isn't like you're draining resources you aren't paying for.

So we are saying, based on this 92-person sample, that only 0.19% of transwomen are sex offenders?

I wanna shit on the meme because it's got a lot of problems accuracy-wise, but I'd rather not because it actually makes the point about the right freaking about nothing lol.

It's not nothing though, it's sexual assault. It's a serious issue. It's also the case that they are more likely to commit it than real women.

If a woman told you she had been raped by a man would you laugh and tell her that it's nothing because only a tiny percentage of men commit rape?

I actually think that's possible, but I don't think this meme comes close to proving that.

2x as many people (~120,000) didn't respond to the survey as opposed to responding as transwomen (48,000). And with a sample as small as 92, there are obviously a zillion other factors at play.

And it certainly doesn't prove they commit sex assault more because they are trans, which is the real suggestion.

Are we laughing at rape? Or are we laughing at the overreactive framing of all trans people being rapists?

If I showed you a study that said that cops were more likely to be domestic abusers and suggested that we should draft legislation banning cops from get married, would that be a based take? Nah, you'd prolly laugh and say that's a retarded position, because not all cops are abusers, despite it certainly being a much higher number than 0.19%.

And if we are actually concerned about victims, do we think more than 92 of the 48,000 transwomen have experienced sexual assault in the last, say 12 months? USTS Report (no UK stats were available for sex assault specifically) suggests that 10% of trans people have been sexually assaulted in last year, so why would people propose dumb shit like bathroom bills and jeopardize them (creating more victims) if only 0.19% of them are assaulting others?

Who said all trans people are rapsits? You are just making stuff up now.

There's lots of evidence that cops are sometimes violent and lots of people proposing various measures to combat it. I support the idea that something should be done to reduce police violence, just like I do with violence committed by any group (including trans women).

This is one of the big problems with the trans issue. Because it's based on a lie it results in people like you who can't even have a conversation with making stuff up and creating false positions to argue against.

No one?

I said that the right "overreactingly frames" it as so, which is obviously suggesting that I'm being hyperbolic.

Bro you literally just got done straw manning me as laughing at rape victims, but I'll still listen.

I agree all problems are worth trying to fix. I just have yet to hear a non-retarded idea when it comes to anti-trans legislation.

You literally typed lol. I'm quoting you. It's about three posts up.

Why is it that so many people on the pro-trans side of things choose these kind of hills to die on. It's all very suspect and concerning. Someone comes along and shows evidence of trans people committing higher than average levels of sexual violence. Normal people would say "that's concerning, we should look into it and try to address it" but people like you come along and say that the right are "freaking about nothing lol."

There's loads of non-retarded ideas about the trans issue. You should try reading the Cass Report.

And obviously not in that context, jesus christ.

I would argue that normal people validate proposed evidence under scrutiny, which is a problem the right has doing. They would prefer to believe in anything that supports their narrative.

And if it did happen to hold up to scrutiny (which this doesn't), normal people would then propose real solutions instead of dumb shit like bathroom bills (which the right has done). Because if they did, people might say they were "freaking about nothing lol".

It's amazing how you play the semantics game post after post then omit legislation here.

Which anti-trans legislation was proposed in the Cass Report?

Oh you're 99% of people now! So do tell me, do they usually knock on your door to see if you agree when they find something in a lab? Know many trans yourself? Do they ask for your permission before chopping they dicks off? They don't? So please tell me why exactly should I be caring about your wonderful opinion. There is no argument. I'm not arguing with you, I'm telling you something. And I'm doing it for free, so yes, you are very welcome.

The Cass Report recommended banning puberty blockers for children apart from in the context of research. The UK government implemented this and they are now banned.

It also led to the government closing the Tavistock Centre.

Idk that banning puberty blockers for kids is inherently anti-trans as much as requiring you to be 18 to own a gun would be anti-gun. Like, imo safe regulation generally helps causes.

But despite that, I'll at least concede that it's close enough in the sense that many pro-trans people might disagree with it, that the judges would probably accept it.

A good enough example that I tend to agree with. Take your damn like.

Here's the rub.

People with bad intentions lash out at the group they hold responsible for their own shortcomings and mental problems.

A tranny will never ever be viewed as a real woman. And that eats them alive hence the constant lashing out against biological women - whether physical, intruding in their spaces or trying to ruin their reputations online.

I don't think a tranny is a real woman, I just don't think it matters because a rapist is going to rape, regardless.

It's the conservative version of "ban all guns so we can stop the criminals from shooting people".

You're only affecting the ones without bad intentions.

I don't feel like surgeries should be covered under insurance as I see it as cosmetic.

If they cover that, then breast implants should also be covered.
