fckin ridiculous..
I agree with you for the most part. Mixed sports are totally fine if there's consent from both parties. The science is pretty simple though. Men generally have athletic advantages over women. A transgender person who used to be a man, has a history of being a man and their opponent doesn't which makes it an uneven playing field. Some women are faster and stronger than some men but that isn't the norm, which is why we separate sports by gender to make it fair. There's nothing transphobic about this, regardless of what some pathetic people scream on Twitter. A person who wants sports to be fair to everyone is morally right. As long as it's clear to the opponent about the reality, then I'm okay with it, but fighters who don't want to fight her are in their right and shouldn't be ridiculed for their choice. The big issue with Fallon Fox was that Fox hid the fact that they were trans from their opponents.
Likewise, the studies that people cite comes to the conclusion that "Male to female transsexuals have significantly less muscle strength and bone density, and higher fat mass, than males". This statement really doesn't mean much because the issue is between Male to female transsexuals and biological women. Likewise, in a study like that you would have to find women and trans of similar size and work out routines, which is a quite extensive hurdle. Like Gabi Garcia could probably outgrapple me because she has 80 pounds on me and also juiced to the gills, so you can't use Gabi and say that women are stronger then men.
Same conclusion that you came to, I think the science is not very known and it's a complicated topic that both sides would like to just simplify.

Pretty disgusting that biological men are being celebrated for beating up women. Funny how biological women never become trans and beat men in sports or fighting.
To call her a "former military man" is just blatant transphobia.
Mental illness from being in a super high stress environment maybe. What’s with all the trans people in the US military?
So jason miller made a comebackFallon Fox 2.0

McLaughlin, who began her gender transition after leaving the U.S. Army Special Forces in 2010, said she hopes to be a pioneer for transgender athletes in combat sports.
“I want to pick up the mantle that Fallon put down,” McLaughlin told Outsports before the fight, referring to Fallon Fox, who in 2012 became the first transgender woman to fight in MMA. “Right now, I’m following in Fallon’s footsteps. I’m just another step along the way and it’s my great hope that there are more to follow behind me.”
“McLaughlin used a rear-naked choke to get the finish at 3 minutes, 32 seconds of the second round.
A former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces, McLaughlin is just the second transgender woman to fight in MMA. Fallon Fox, who was the first, was cageside watching McLaughlin.”

But what effects does hormone replacement have on athletic performance. I agree, trans who have undergone no hormone replacement would be a no brainer.I agree with you for the most part.
