A $45.3mil weekend is really bad for this franchise. That's down -54.7% from the previous movie and falls some $25mil behind the first entry in the series (which previously had the lowest opening). This is a clear sign that the US viewing public has finally rejected these movies as the garbage that they are. At this point they'll be lucky to cross $150mil domestic (my guess is it settles out around $135mil).

Not like it even matters. Good chance it still hits a Billion.

Prior one did 245m in US, 858m international.

If I remember correctly.. Megatron's head was still in the possession of TSI in AoE and Galvatron was still alive. Fast forward to this movie and Megatron is back together and no Galvatron to be found?

Only 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, 28/100 from Metacritic, audience poll has it at a B+. I usually believe the audience over critics, but not when it comes to these awful 'movies' - and everybody here is saying it's pure trash and of course I believe you guys over anybody else. I wasn't planning on watching this since I believe they should've stopped after the second one but, man, they just keep getting worse and worse, don't they?

The crazy thing is that, even though these movies are complete shit, they somehow do pretty good in the box office every time. It's likely because a bunch of parents are taking their children to see it, but like.. they do shockingly well even though they're fucking awful films. They all terrible, but they're still being made because they're bringing in a lot of cash. It's a huge money grab.. somehow.

Transformers 1 budget: $150 million -- $709.7 million boxing office. Best film of franchise, IMO..
Revenge of the Fallen budget: $200 million -- $836.3 million box office.
Dark Side of the Moon budget: $195 million -- $1.124 BILLION box office.. WAIT.. WHAT?!
Age of Extinction budget: $210 million -- $1.104 BILLION box office WHAT THE FUCK?!
The Last Knight budget: $260 million -- TBA box office.. expect another BILLION!!

The first movie wasn't that great either, but it's easily the best one of the entire series, in my opinion, don't you all agree? Anyway, they truly need to stop making these for the sake of just not making bad movies. Unfortunately, they're still bringing in an absurd amount of money even though it's one of the very worst film franchises of the last 10 years, and quite possibly one of the worst of all time if we're being honest.

Transformers and TMNT have been ruined.

Special thanks to Michael Bay and the piece of shit company that distributed it and such.. Paramount Pictures, was it? I don't know, you movie buffs probably know all about this shit, who to blame, all that.. screw it.. I'm out..

You know this shit is bad when it tanks in China, where audience usually love shitty high budget Hollywood films.

Michael Bay has been on autopilot churning out these crap for the past couple of years. The guy was never Oscar caliber, but he is capable of putting out some decent stuff (The Rock, Armageddon and Pain & Gain). Hopefully he gets back into form, or his career is going down the dumpster fire.
