The Conor likeness isn't right. Unusual to see them with soft goods shorts. Skillful sewing.
Its a prototype. They'll probably have the shorts molded onto the figure. Baggy Alladin shorts just don't make sense on Conor lol.

Jeremy Padawer is overseeing the line, I think he'll do right by it. I don't play Fortnite but their figures don't look half bad at all.

Bought this Dragon Stars Battle Damaged SSJ Goku for $19.99 to go with First Form Frieza. Thought I was gonna buy Android 17, but the face didn't look quite right.

The upcoming Nimrod looks like he has articulated pudgy fingers!

There's this used book/CD/DVD place called Book Off. They had these recently released Star Wars TVC Clone Trooper and Hot Wheels Premium KITT attack mode for both at least double normal retail price. I'm wondering if this is consignment sales by scalpers.

Someone "panel lined" the Cooler and looks pretty good. Far From Home Spider-Man could use panel lining too. Maybe I should look to buy a Gunpla pen.

Seems like pre-orders for G.I. Joe Scarlett & Duke are no longer available and only Roadblock is left. I would have thought pre-order means collect as many orders as possible and they'll figure out how many to produce. I seem to be wrong.

EDIT: Duke & Scarlett are available again.

Amazon had Fortnite 4" Havoc (Firefly) for less than $4. The other characters seemed regular price.

I'd buy these PS1 FF7 characters probably even if no moving elbows and knees. Any details on what these are and who makes them?

Saw rumors of upcoming Black Series Cad Bane, The Armorer, Moff Gideon, Ahsoka, complete Rebels crew, Beskar Mando.

Ordered a half price Dragon Stars Android 17. Price too good to pass up. I think the weird face I saw in store was sloppy paint application.

Decided to go with Dragon Stars Bardock instead of the more fragile Figure-rise Standard that looks much better. The Dragon Stars legs look too long and skinny and as someone elsewhere noted the armor is yellow instead of green like in the cartoon.

Finished the garage so I can add it to my city block.

I tried to dig out some old Lego parts to make a minifigure scale IG-11 after seeing the bounty hunter set and the robot arm hand broke really easily and a bunch of Mixel balljoint parts in that same storage tub were super loose. These Lego parts don't last very long it seems. They're not cheap either.

I'm trying to get caught up with some of the newer Dragon Ball episodes like Super Dragon Ball Heroes (well done art animation) and the first Dragon Ball Super episodes (art from later episodes are very sloppy and crude), and am itching to buy a good SSJ Vegeta, but the Dragon Stars v1 and v2 don't look good (too skinny or head too big) and after seeing S.H. Figuarts, am really itching to dip the toes into those, but really expensive and saw some Amazon reviews saying they broke fast and easy. I'm wondering if they bought counterfeits from 3rd party sellers or are retards.

What I really want is the SSJ Trunks in Vegeta's armor from just prior to Cell Games.

Some Amazon Japan prices don't look that bad, but can't read enough of the fine print in Japanese and didn't try to order and not sure if they'll ship here.

The Figuarts sculpts and colors seem very close to perfect. It's like the Dragon Stars were made by the lower skilled people who don't get to access the 3D models made by the Figuarts or Figure-rise people.

I was listening to a bunch of short G.I. Joe podcasts and the guy attended NY Toy Fair and was told by a Hasbro guy not to get hung up on the colors of the revealed figures because they weren't really final and they actually read the toy forum posts. Also said they had like 18-20 designs before they settled on the ones shown. Not sure if that many drafts per character. I hope they change the stupid gold knee pads and shin guards. Also, way too many unnecessary complicated color applications.

I'm seeing Roadblock is again the only one still available for pre-order. Looks a bit like Bob Sapp.

I don't mind that he looks like Sapp. He just needed a .50 cal instead of that... Laser thingie... :(

Yeah, the weird thing is Duke's rifle looks realistic as does Erik Killmonger's which I think vintage retro Deadpool also comes with.

Also, today saw a retro gray Beast for pre-order and it has basically what customizers already made: friendly human-like face, glasses, opened book. Also has a gray Jim Lee Beast head. Makes you wonder why Hasbro didn't think of including the extras that customizers made to meet demand.

I've never had issues with figuarts figures falling apart or breaking. Don't be a retard with the figure and you should be fine.

Doing some browsing on eBay is probably your best bet for that particular version of Trunks at this point. I found one for $40 with a quick search, which is a little cheaper than what he cost new a couple years ago.

Edit: I'm not sure which Vegeta you're looking for, but eBay is probably you're best bet. Here's a Cell saga one for 50.

If you buy from eBay watch for bootlegs though. Anything that is ridiculously under priced and ships from China is going to be a bootleg.

Ordered the last of this Tomica Premium Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo. If I had waited until tomorrow to order, probably sold out. I think this was a good car in Gran Turismo PS1 days.

Getting ready to assemble my Figure-rise Standard Piccolo. The way they engineer these models with color separation parts is very impressive, but they don't feel as sturdy as normal action figures. If it breaks, at least I could try welding it back using Tamiya Extra Thin cement, since it's probably polystyrene.

Saw today there's a new USA P-Bandai Premium site for web exclusives. A while back I did want to order the Japanese P-Bandai exclusive Zeta Gundam 1/144 Wave Rider something or other version. The stuff on there is damn expensive though.

They have multiple versions of Cell era SSJ Vegeta, Goku. Not sure what the difference is other than maybe the earlier ones had like an overhanging shoulder muscle pointy like it's part of Goku's shirt. The listings don't seem to specify what version sometimes. I've been seeing people post about "DF" which I'm assuming is Chinese bootleg and accessories. If I'm paying a lot, I think I'd better order from somewhere reputable. There's a store here where I used to see this type of hardcore DBZ stuff from Japan, but that was when I was no longer buying these. They sell a lot of stuff from Japan, so likely legit.

Looking at the very first DBZ figures sold in USA, it seems to only have neck, shoulders, waist. No elbow, hips, knees. Good thing I didn't buy more when I saw some in Japan.

There have been many versions of Goku and Vegeta haha. The older ones have less detailed sculpts and no ab crunch in the torso. The newer ones also have much better looking faces, better hip articulation and are all around a big improvement over the earlier figures. The eBay listing I linked for Vegeta is the newer version of that figure, so that's the box and figure to look out for if that's the one you want. The older one doesn't look as good, but is also a bit cheaper.

Here's the old Vegeta figure

The old one isn't terrible, it's just been improved upon. If you're plunking down money for these you mine as well go with the best version. God I'm such a fucking loser.
