I'm gonna wait for the non-Deluxe cheaper Snake Eyes. I just checked and surprised to see Hasbro Pulse is now willing to ship to HI. I don't feel like paying an extra $20 for the extra weapons and background rack.

They said only 3 characters in 2020? What happened to the rumored list including Destro, Duke, one other guy? Coronavirus got to them? Reduced manufacturing capacity?

So Roadblock now uses a nonrealistic double penetration machine laser gun?

I would have guessed they'd go cheap and make a generic body and do head swaps for multiple characters like in the original days.

Yeah, I'm not digging on that laser gun for Roadblock. It should be a .50 cal or minigun.

I had no idea that show existed. I guess I'll search DVR now and then if any good subject matter comes up.
 
I bought and built 2 of 3 Bandai DBZ Figure-rise Standard model kits and I like the articulation, didn't like the color accuracy, don't like how loose some joints are and how it feels like it'll break if dropped. They do seem to be around the same scale as Marvel Legends.

I was gonna buy the Bardock. I may start buying the Dragon Stars instead, but wish those looked as good as the Figure-rise.

I bought a clearance $5 First Form Frieza Dragon Stars and seems quite a bit too tall.

Anyone know if this Namek saga Vegeta exists in Bandai Dragon Stars figure form?

I think I bought that version way back when DBZ figures were first sold in USA, but I think those barely had any articulation. My SSJ Goku from that first run feels nasty and sticky like the plastic is melting from regular HI indoors summer heat.

Can anyone comment on SH Figurearts quality? Is that solid plastic or plastic model fragile?

Last week had a guy who had around $1M worth of NASCAR memorabilia. Before that there was a collector that had THE primo collection of Batman '66. He had a suit from the show that Adam West wore, scripts, props, you name it.

They also bring along an appraiser who tells you what it could fetch at auction. The appraiser always brings in an item to trade... Will they make the trade? It's the Collector's call! ;)
 
This Dragon Star First Form Frieza with wide feet and tail stands pretty stably. Feeling like rewatching the DBZ Namek Saga.
 


Never collected TMNT toys, but I know all teh characters form the games and cartoons. Neca is killing it.
 
What pre-orders do I need to pounce on ASAP? I barely got in an order for replacement Star Wars Black Series Mandalorian before the scalpers wiped out the $19.99 supply. I'm guessing Hasbro's not allowing any regular Snake Eyes pre-orders to cannibalize their $40 deluxe Snake Eyes. Gonna likely pass on Duke and pursue Destro or anyone else looking good. Not a fan of the stupid gold knee pad and shinguards. Why do that when it looks lame and adds to production cost?

Retro Spiderman looks like from the FOX animated series. I bought the original which looks weird. I need this to upgrade. They should have done dual molded blue/red elbow pegs.

I saw they are coming out with Marvel Legends for the FOX movies, a Maverick from Jim Lee X-Men. Will pass on the jumbo 6" Black Series 40th anniversary Star Wars. Didn't see anything on new Dragon Stars. Curious how much the TVC Slave I will be. (EDIT: $149.99)

Few other bits from toy fair:

I read someone post first appearance Storm and maybe the new Rogue are experiments with pinless elbows and knees. Curious how that works. I guess I need first appearance Storm for the New X-Men. Already have a tiger stripe Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Sunfire.

Retro Gwen Stacy seems to come with Mary Jane head. Interesting.

I think Maverick comes with some sort of goon head and horned helmet. Not familiar with that.

Snake Eyes looks head and shoulders better than Scarlett, Roadblock, Duke, maybe due to not having bling bling golden shinguards.

Retro Spider-Man seems to have twipp and fist hands, but no wallcrawling hands. Stingy, Hasbro!

I haven't bought anything in months & months. The last thing I got was the deluxe Pennywise figure that my wife got me for my birthday in October. I'm thinking that the next thing I buy will be the figures from the forthcoming MORBIUS film. I'll add them to my collection of Morbius figures. I can't wait to see what they're going to look like.
 
I’ve been buying loose Marvel Legends for my nephew. He’s 5 and, a Spider-Man freak. I’ve found about thirty for him so far.
This is the second nephew I’ve bought these for. The first guy is 20 now. I probably got him about 40-50 new ones. He had complete Galactus and Sentinel.
