Toughest dog breed P4p.....

one of my best friends growing up had a JRT. I remember the dog (skippy) used to bark uncontrollably at large rocks and tried to attack them.

No idea why people are saying jrt. My cat used to beat the piss out of the neighborhood ones...
My vote would have to be rotty's or argentinian dogo.

Rottweilers are another breed you don't want to mess with. For me, Pittbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermanns and Sheppard dogs (GDS/Malinois) are the toughest customers.

Having been in a bite suit and taken bites from numerous breeds, the Malinois are beasts.

Our class had a pit in it and it did not hold a candle to the Mal.

Also through the PD I've known several handlers who have had Mals get shot and still fuck people up. Not to mention when I was deployed the Aussie SAS had a Mal that had killed two armed Taliban.

That said, I've heard some bad ass stories about the Caucasian Ovcharkas.

They use JRT's to get rid of feral cats so probably not. Your cat may have beat on one particular one that was cowardly and not game, but that's no different than a toy poodle backing down a big dog. It's funny, but if the bigger dog ever wanted to, it could easily kill the little dog.

No "house cat " is fucking with this

Odd, because my cat did. Keep your hard on for wishbone.

This. There's a reason they use Mals. Beasts won't stop even when fucking shot at.

I wonder how wolf hybrids would fare?
There are large domesticated breeds like wolfhounds or the Caucasian Shepards that will consistently kill full blooded wolves, so probably not too well.

I also remember reading something about wolves fighting bully breeds during the Klondike gold rush and being over-matched, but who knows how much truth there is to that.

Probably fairly truthful. Wolves are pack hunters, most domesticated dogs had to learn to be solitary defenders. My brother's rotty has claimed a few coyotes and wolves up in alberta.

Boerboel

South African guard dog, usually weighs around 100-200 lbs.
Fuckers will take on a lion from what I just read. That is one stout looking beast.

Just remembered. Basenji's are used to round up lions.

I thought that first pick was shooped at first. I literally LOLed.

It always seems like you see lions getting fucked with by smaller animals in all those nature shows. I used to know a girl that went to school to work with large cats, and she said that P4P leopards and Jaguars were way tougher than lions.

They are, and leopards are also one of the strongest cats p4p being able to drag a carcass up a tree which most large cats are incapable of.
Solitary animals are always more menacing because they have to be self reliant otherwise they die. The basenji don't engage them directly, more so harass them for the hunters to get close and launch a spear. Still, they aren't intimidated which is surprising.

I'm not a big fan of Pitts, personly I don't think they make good pets, (decent working/catch dog)but there tried and tested when it comes to combat, while I'm sure there's some dogs they may beat them every now and again, 1 things is for sure when it comes to grit and determination the game Pitt is 2nd none, most dogs will flea a fight when the going gets tough due to self preservation, a Pitt won't

There is a video on LiveLeak of a single wild boar eviscerating 3 massive game pits. The pits went after the boar with everything they had and the boar destroyed them. They then ran away yelping and hid in a a corner of the enclosure.

They were fenced in but in a large area. Check it out.
