I love dogs. In general terms, I prefer them to humans. But that looks fucking terrifying.

There are large domesticated breeds like wolfhounds or the Caucasian Shepards that will consistently kill full blooded wolves, so probably not too well.

I also remember reading something about wolves fighting bully breeds during the Klondike gold rush and being over-matched, but who knows how much truth there is to that.

Isn't the premise behind this that wild animals avoid getting hurt so they will try to run straight away and then basically just get slaughtered. Same reasons why dogs can kill certain larger north american cats.

Also- only male during fucking season in the wild will fight for real to make a fuck.

It's hard to imagine a pit-bull getting rolled by a JRT, but the athletic ability, bite power, intelligence is simply on another level with a JRT. It's hard to imagine a 50lb JRT not having it's way with a pit-bull, German Shepard, Rottweiler ETC

Rotties would hold there own. They have size and one of the strongest bites from all dogs.

They are, and leopards are also one of the strongest cats p4p being able to drag a carcass up a tree which most large cats are incapable of.
Solitary animals are always more menacing because they have to be self reliant otherwise they die. The basenji don't engage them directly, more so harass them for the hunters to get close and launch a spear. Still, they aren't intimidated which is surprising.

Too quick and they know it. Like you said though it's all harassment and nothing to do with physical ability to kick ass. My 4 year old leads my parents 1200lb horse around by his nose too.......doesn't mean she stacks up physically with a Full grown male Rocky mountain gaited horse.

This is the truth. Pitbulls might attack a lot of people but I've seen a video of an ovcharka kill a Pitbull in a few seconds.

Just to add to this, I've also seen Ovcharka's kill wolves... Can't say that for any other breed really.

Pitbull without a doubt. Sure there are bigger and stronger dogs out there but if we are talking about the toughest dogs then the pitbulls take it by a country mile. And forget the jack Russel, the patterdale terrier is it's evil black twin from hell and regarded as the most game dog that exists. Patterdale terriers are the honey badgers of the dog world

Vicious little bastard... Afraid of absolutely nothing, the fucker would run at firework displays looking to kill whatever was making the noise... Always fought off his back like a Jiu-Jitsu fighter... Let bigger dogs take him down then savage their delicate unprotected skin while the bigger dog was going for his thick coat... Routinely killed rats, hedgehogs, squirrels, cats... He bit a postman, a phone line installer, and a host of other people... His name was chef and I loved him!

Dude was like a honey badger... that pic is from Google it be Chef, but Chef was stockier.

Also I see alot of people mentioning the ovarchka which makes sense but every one seems to be forgetting about Tosa Inu's. Perhaps someone mentioned it already but anyways IMO Tosas>ovarchkas

And an honourable mention to Bully Kuttas. These dogs look like a pitbull fucked an orc and ran a cycle of roids. They are the fighting dog of Pakistan. Absolutely monstrous in size

I've had a few Queensland Blue Heelers that would routinely fuck up bigger pitbulls. Blue Heelers have been bred to get kicked by cows, I've seen them take baseball bats to the head and get hit by cars and just pop up like its nothing. They're insane.

Blue heelers, Malinois - most pitbulls are cans.

Those little bastards are tough as nails. I'd rank them right up there with the Jagdterrier (see my previous post). Very similar breeds.
