Toughest dog breed P4p.....

My step-moms chi-weenie mauled my boss today. His leg was a blood mess. Little fucker swarmed like a piraña. True story.

In all seriousness though, I give zero fucks about how tough a dog is. I just care that they're chill, intelligent & obedient like my lab/beagle mix. She's smarter than most people for real.
Folk who care are borderline tards with small peens, like most pit owners.

I think people are getting away from the P4P thing. Yes, a Caucasian Shepherd or a large kangal can kill a pit-bull more often than not, but they're literally 3 times the size of a pit bull. It's like comparing a 100lb man to Brock Lesnar.
The fact that game pits of the highest fighting stock actually kill these large dogs sometimes really says a lot about the breed.

As far as the small dogs go, someone was mentioning the jagdterrier. I think this might be the answer. While a game JRT and a jagdterrier are pretty much the same dog with the jagdterrier being slightly bigger and the JRT probably being slightly more athletic, the jagdterrier breed hasn't been watered down like the JRT has. Most jagdterriers come directly from hunting stock, and are specifically purchased as working dogs, while most JRT's are pets that simply still have a very strong prey drive.

Average jagdterrier > Average JRT

I don't know much about the patterdale terrier, so I can't really form an opinion on them. I've never actually seen one.

I grew up with a Doberman, German Shepherd, and a Great Dane.
I'm here to tell you that the most confident, fearless, p4p bad-ass dog is a Pekingese.
Mine is 15 pounds (large for show-quality), and is an obstinate little bastard! He's literally squared up, then marched right up to Great Danes, English Mastiffs, Rottweilers, and a Newfoundland. They all dropped to the deck, and went 100% submissive (tail tucked, head tucked between paws, eyes down) until he decided they were scared enough. I'm not kidding you, he would DIE before backing down, he's that ballsy.
Probably my wife's fault, for refusing to get him neutered until he was over a year old...

He's the tan one. Don't let him fool you.

Oh, and the little one? She was all of 5 pounds, and even HE was scared of her! ;)

They use JRT's to get rid of feral cats so probably not. Your cat may have beat on one particular one that was cowardly and not game, but that's no different than a toy poodle backing down a big dog. It's funny, but if the bigger dog ever wanted to, it could easily kill the little dog.

No "house cat " is fucking with this

Respect.

However, trained pits don't even bother barking. They go straight for the hogs, bite and don't let go. Plus, they take on massive hogs, not little piglets like that JRT is messing with.

Those were huge hogs, but lets see one of those dogs without a vest take on a pig nearly 3 times its size 1 on 1. They would get wrecked. A pack of catch dogs swarming a 300lb pig isn't as impressive as a 15-20lb dog single highhandedly killing a 40- 50lb wild hog. That's not a piglet. That's just a small wild pig in south Texas. They only get about 80-100lbs max out in the scrubs like that unless someone has been feeding them.

Pitbull P4P

Caucasian ovcharka followed by Kangal as most badass dogs without weight division

See a big healthy ovcharka in real life is ridicolous

Kind of OT- but there is a lot of talk in this thread about modern dog fighting, dog X would kill dog Y.

Is thsi just the internet gonna internet, meaning many are talking out of their ases or is there a sub-culture of dog fighting running a muck?

Didn't read all seven pages, but the dogo gets my vote.

There is a video on LiveLeak of a single wild boar eviscerating 3 massive game pits. The pits went after the boar with everything they had and the boar destroyed them. They then ran away yelping and hid in a a corner of the enclosure.

They were fenced in but in a large area. Check it out.
Boars are NO JOKE.

Jesus Christ. What a brutal way to hunt an animal.

I Googled it.

Google says a Caucasian Ovcharka is the most dangerous dog breed.

I second this sentiment. The last thing you want to do is to attack the owner of this dog without killing the dog first. Caucasian Shepherds are incredibly loyal to their owner and to one owner only. I have actually never encountered a breed that shows loyalty like Caucasian Shepherds.

I was doing some reading on a comparison between the jagdterrier and the patterdale anf the consensus was that the jagdterrier was a much more efficient/smarter hunter. They have the intelligence to attack the lower limbs and hold the prey down but a patterdale simply goes for the throat and tries to kill every time. In terms of gameness the patterdale terrier simply cannot be matched but functionality wise there are others that are better.

But Imo P4P pitbulls take it in the toughness department. Their pain threshold is godly, athleticism through the roof, gameness is amongst the highest, fighting IQ is very high. They're like the AK 47s of the dog world.......or terminators if you will

I can't speak for others, but I've never seen dog fighting in real life. Like most the people on here, I've simply seen a lot of videos on the Internet. I don't support dog fighting in any way, but I find this discussion interesting..

It's still somewhat common in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and many 'stans. They're not shy about talking about this stuff online either.

C'mon, that JRT didn't kill that little hog. He just held him. And the hog didn't even fight back. And of course, he let go and barked at him for a bit.

Impressed with his courage but catch dogs are on another level. They get charged at regularly and don't even think about backing down

Boars are NO JOKE.

I've seen that video.

Most alpha hog in the world. He just tossed those dogs to the side and even charged at them so they wouldn't get any ideas. Never seen anything like it. I hope he got released.
