Both hold legendary status in my upbringing for sure. Campy, action, over-the-top, fun.

Gun to my head I'm probably taking Demolition Man.

Wholeheartedly disagree. I can think of at least 3 reasons why Total Recall is superior.

Demolition Man was a fun little movie but Total Recall is fantastic. It would be the best Arnold movie if not for T2

Predator's great but I think Total Recall is better. The writing is fantastic. Plus I enjoy all the little bizarre moments. Paul Verhoven was at his absolute peak with that movie.

Please. That movie doesn't even come close to Robocop and Starship Troopers.

Total Recall is campy as fuck. It aged like milk.

Total Recall is the better film, but Demolition Man is much more fun to watch. Mainly due to Snipes gleefully chewing so much scenery it's a wonder the entire film set didn't collapse. Stallone's the star, but Wesley effortlessly steals every scene he's in.

Total Recall for me. Just a much more believable world, and a more interesting story overall.
Though Demolition Man had my boy Dan Cortese crooning in a Taco Bell, so it is close.
