I have no issue with ilia fighting Islam, I think that's a hella close fight, I don't think islam will just ragdoll him. My opinion is it will play out similar to the first Volk fight. Islam fans will underestimate Ilia's resilience and skills on the ground, and Ilia fans will underestimate Islam's pure striking skills. I think islam can win rounds off of ilia just by striking.

I already did some revisionist history on Topuria´s recent wins, it wasnt taken very well by sherdog, he has beaten great fighters...at the right time.

Great wins, but also at the right time for all of them

Oliveira: 10 loses, 45 fights, almost 36 years old
Holloway: 7 loses, 33 fights, almost 33 years old, has a tendency to block with his face, some even say he is already showing CTE signs.
Volkanovski: 29 fights with only 3 loses, but he lost by KO 4 months before their fight, 35 years old

And I love Justin Gaethje, he is on a very very short list for my favorite fighter ever.

This is where UFC horrendous matchmaking hurts.

We should have seen Ilia vs Arman already and if Ilia won then he would at least have a title defense.

During Islam’s 16 fight win streak, he beat Arman who was on a 12 fight win streak, Olivera 11, Volk 22, JDM 18. His combined opponent win streak was 87 during this. I dont see anything like that on Topuria resume.
