It clearly would mean a lot in terms of legacy building, fan appreciation and the credit he'd get from the entire sport. SD would likely crash if Ilia would K Islam TFO! It would be a historic event. He did defend his title and relinquished his title as soon as he moved up to lightweight (instead of holding the title hostage for a year). If he is trying to be like Conor, he is not doing it very well.
