I have just recently started getting more intersted in BJJ. My question is who are the top " pound for pound" grapplers out there right now. I have heard of Roger Gracie, Jacare, Royler, who are some others that can be considered the best?
If there is a thread that was done recently a link would be nice.

Monson doesn't compete in the gi so far as I know, thus he is not a BJJ player.

Part of the only one holistic system of systems
It does say top BJJ players and since Monson mainly competes no gi grappling, while he's still a top name, he's not really a BJJ guy if he doesn't compete in BJJ tournaments.

If we were going to include ADCC winners people could add Mark Kerr and I don't think anyone would have considered him a BJJ guy. (he may be retired but so is Saulo these days).
We could add in Dean Lister too however again he doesn't compete in a gi these days that often.

I'd add Eduardo Telles and Braulio Estima in there.

Why do people keep leaving Leozinho off??? The guy is a perennial Mundial champ and ADCC champ.

    Let's also add:

    Fernando "Margarida" Pontes
    Damien Maia
    Leo Santos
