Top 5 Favourite Movies

1. Taxi driver
2. TGTBATU
3. Mad Max 2 aka The Road Warrior

Those are my definitive top 3 but after that I can't really put the rest of my favourites in strict order as it's too close to call most of them, here's some of the top contenders though...

Aliens, Chopper, The Wanderers, T2, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Goodfellas, The Thing, King Of Comedy, I Saw The Devil, Once Upon A Time In The West, The Keep, Ringu, Samsara, Baraka, Dredd, The Crow, Leon, Predator, Cape Fear (Scorsese remake), Platoon, A Bittersweet Life.
Good, diverse mix right there.

Tough question. It's hard to single out 5 movies out of tens of masterpieces, but I would nominate :

- Oldboy (the Korean film, not the shitty remake)
- The Holy Mountain
- The Omen (1976)
- V For Vendetta
- El Método

Jodorowsky is such a crazy, brilliant fuck.

Ask me again next week and it'll probably be different but I'm going to go with

Children of Men
Cool Runnings (it's my ultimate feel good nostalgia film)
Empire Strikes Back
Full Metal Jacket
Pulp Fiction

I think we could be friends

1. Irreversible
2. The Wrestler
3. Sideways

Terminator 2 over Terminator 1 is a given but it's interesting to see more people picking Aliens over Alien.

And it seems Pulp Fiction is the berry's favourite film.

^ good stuff. Gaspar Noe is a top shelf director

I really hope his next feature isn't another commercial flop. I feel like it could be his last strike.

Honestly, I could make the argument for The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream, and Black Swan all being in my top five. But I had to choose one, and The Wrestler I think was the most refined.

Hey, Secret Window is on both of ours! High five! I could relate to it a lot for some reason, plus I love psychological thrillers/horrors/mysteries (my favourite genre). It was fantastic.

Actually I put Frailty at about the same level but went with Secret Window. Another one I liked was Ravenous. Somehow I lump all three pretty close to one another. I think of one, then the others. Though I have The Ring as the greatest horror of all time (followed closely by The Exorcist).

The Wrestler was pretty gritty, Rourke played an aging crackhead really well. Might watch it again tonight.

Also, I noticed a lot of No Country For Old Men picks. I liked that film a lot too, but would've preferred a different ending.

For a somewhat similar movie, I liked A History of Violence more.

Love all of Aronofsky's movies besides Noah. Black Swan is definitely my favorite though.

I couldn't say. It would have to be in divisions. Comedies, serious movies, horror, popcorn flicks etc. Off the top of my head I think I would have Shaun of the dead in most categories.
