He crushed some cans in his days but more than half his opponents are recognized names. The man also has the most top ten wins at HW so maybe jump off fight finder and read a book, sport.

To be honest though outside of a few early wins in RINGs I don't think he faced that many "cans", its more the fights with Nagata and Zulu being on big shows which I think plays up that narrative but that tended to be the way in Japan.

If your talking guys outside the very elite as well then that obviously comes with a risk which I think the UFC tend to downplay, Stipe lost to Struve for example who were he around in the mid 00's in Pride would I suspect have been reffered to as a "can".

Cormier spilting his time between LHW and HW I think makes it tough to rank him near the top in either division, at HW I think he's low end top 10 at best.

You are comparing two different eras of mma fighters and showcasing your bias with every post you make. The way Fedor trained and fought in the late 90s to early 00s would of course not be as proficient against fighters training with todays methods. I’m not debating that.

Anyone can say “Mark Coleman would never have been UFC HW or PRIDE OW champion if Stipe was in the tournament,” or “Chuck would have never won the UFC LHW title if he fought in the Jon Jones era.”

I’m talking about resumes. During Fedor’s career, he beat more top ten Heavyweights than anybody else. He beat the best out there- it’s not up for debate:
