I think DC is a better fighter than Stipe, and if both were in their prime, DC would win more often than he would lose. He won the first fight, already way more out of his prime than Stipe was, and he was winning the second fight pretty clearly prior to Stipe making the adjustments and finishing him to the body. That said, Stipe does have 2 wins to his 1, and Stipe has that legacy of defending the belt and beating a lot of big names at HW. Overall careers, I'd say yeah, DC is way ahead of Stipe. I'd also say DC is the better fighter. But when it comes to ranking the best HWs of all time, it's absurd to even consider ranking DC ahead of Stipe when Stipe beat him twice and has way more impressive HW wins and title defencdes than DC does.

Hendo fought at 200-205 his whole career, at 20s, 30s or 40s. He weighted heavier than ever (207lbs) to fight Fedor. A guy accostumed to fight bigger man. Why such an anomaly in an otherwise so consistent fighter? Becase he was indeed going up not one but two weightclasses.

Hendo beat both Nogueira and Fedor at HW. He won Rings HW tournament where he also beat Yvel and Sobral. Henderson had legit HW results, thus he is also a HW.

You dont have to be certain weight to be HW. There is no minimum weight. You just have to accept fight at HW with no weight limit, and you are a HW. No matter what you weight, if you can beat fighters who have legit results at HW you are a HW.

I do feel if matched against the best fighters ever in their prime DC would probably get more wins than Stipe. I think Stipe was arguably a more versatile fighter than Cormier which I think worked well in the era he fought in against opponents with some clear weaknesses but I think Cormiers strenghts, his wrestling and his close in boxing were arguably more dangerous.

What you say is evident, that's not what I was discussing.

A top HW should not be losing to Henderson under modern mma rules anyways despite Hendo's Ws under Rings rule set. Yvel also got beat by Horn and by WW Dani Tabera, who got robbed vs him btw.

Every strong fighter with heat in their hands will always be able to land a KO, that was what happened in this fight.

I actually find it more interesting how fast Fedor got Hendo to the ground. Didn't expect that from a fighter past his prime against a durable fighter like Hendo.
