Tony Ferguson's last five fights... just the facts

Or i think youre just blind that olivera is on another level now.. Taking credit away from somone due to ignorance.

Style wise gaethhe isnt a good matchup for tony
But he did do awful but he didnt look as fast or nearly as healthy as he did vs charles.. Cutting 2 times in 2 weeks ..i dont see how you guys can state facts.. And not look at everything.

Cant discredit this guy enough id stay say he beats khabib and a loss to somone else just doesnt change that.

Charles 2.0 beats every one in the top 5 and khabib .

Dont' forget that he hasn't won a fight at LW in over 4 years but is getting a title shot. HOW FUCKING BIG OF A JOKE IS THAT ON THE LW DIVISION? LW division is the weakest division in all of UFC. BY FAR.

What a silly opinion.

  1. Charles Olivera - Loss - lost all 3 rounds, 1 or more 10-8s
  2. Justin Gaethje - Loss - Lost all 5 rounds
  3. Donald Cerrone - Win - 2 rounds, somewhat dominant over Donald who is winless in his last five fights
  4. Anthony Pettis - Win - Back and forth fight. Nearly finished twice but came back. Anthony Pettis is 3-4 in his last 7
  5. Kevin Lee - Win - Back and forth fight, came back to finish Lee after early adversity. Kevin Lee is 1-3 in his last four fights
Connect your own dots, make no assumptions. :)

Tell this to the guy who made the "Tony can still beat Conor" Thread

What a silly opinion.
Opinion? That is a fact. Conor hasn't won at LW in over 4 years and only 1 fight in the last 4. No way is that warranted for a title shot when Nate fucking Diaz has the better of him. Facts gf, look into it.

DC had not fought at HW in years, and he got a title shot.

Won't even bring up the pile of shit that is LHW.

WW just had Masvidal fight for the belt. Half the guys there got into the top 10 by beating.....RDA. At WW.

Yan fought Aldo in 2020 for the title.....

I haven't looked into it yet but I'm sure all of those guys had more than 1 win in 4 years. Conor the most undeserving title shot ever by far, easily. Another example of white privilege. Guess it does pay to assault elderly and sexual assault women.

LW worst division, white privilege, what the fuck are you even rambling about?

Jones getting title shots every time he pops for roids and rams pregnant women = white privilege too?
Talking about white privilege when the fight was between an Irishman and a Caucasian is comically irrelevant. Who are these black fighters who were passed over by Conor?

It was money and thats it.

It was pretty obvious after the kevin lee fight that khabib would maul.
It was something to think about, but at the same time that FKL had his dominance, also Ferguson showed he was cool under fire. He weathered the storm and came back w his own shit. So i thought ok if Khabib cant put him away early, this could go a while cos Tony is a survivor.

But you dont just come back from that justin beating, and be the same fighter.

Tony is a good fighter with alot of heart and toughness but in reality his 12 fight win streak was padded to the maximum.

Never fought a top 3 ranked guy other than an RDA coming off a KO loss and never fought anyone with decent boxing until he got exposed by Justin on short notice.

Tony's biggest credential was winning the interim title...against Kevin Lee.

Getting outgrappled with ease by Charles recently also exposes the fact that his bjj blackbelt from 10th Planet is just a McDojo belt.

Dude is an entertaining fighter but not as high level as people think he is.

Yeah because Irish ain't white? What a dumbass. But yes conor is taking advantage of his white privilege. You think some black UFC fighter would get the same treatment as Conor? Throwing dollies at a bus injuring many people, assaulting many people, felony destruction of property, raping, etc and not even having a win at LW in over 4 years but still gets a title shot. That is the exact definition of white privilege honeybun. Hell look at that black LW who just came back a few fights ago after being suspended for a 'rape' that turned out fake. But keep thinking your little white boi Conor hasn't gotten any special privilege.

Don't stop there:
6: RDA - stuck his finger in RDA's brain which swung the momentum massively, was down on the score cards at that point.
7: Lando Vanatta - nearly KO'd by debuting fighter who is a win one, lose one type fighter. (sorry @Myrddin Wild I'm still groovy 4life)
8: Edson Barboza - nearly KO'd by an illegal upkick which swung the momentum massively.

If his name was jon Jones then yeah I think so. Hitting preggo women firstly guns sitting in a car drunk. Still had a career and even lauded by the ufc president as the goat even though he popped multiple times

You can discredit anyone like this, look at Stipe's list.

  • Cormier - retired due to age, despite his age he KO'd Stipe once and won most of the rounds in their trilogy.
  • Ngannou - wrestled a green Ngannou to a decision, ducking the rematch.
  • JDS - been KO'd in 6 of his last 11, Dana said he's done now, in reality he's been done as a top fighter since the Cain fights. Went 1-1 with Stipe.
  • Reem - been on the receiving end of 17 careers KO's and now only able to pick up wins against guys outside the top 10. Dropped Stipe and had a back and forth brawl.
  • Arlovski - been on the receiving end of 11 KO's, ten years past his prime. Following his loss to Stipe he lost 4 more straight until he beat the baby diaper guy.
But you know Stipe is the HW GOAT.
You're 100% right, but Stipe is the perfect example because I have always refrained from calling him the heavyweight GOAT for that very reason. He resume is super suspect because everyone was over 80 except Ngannu which is looking like a better and better win.

That said, Khabib's resume is on another level imo. He has beat The who's who and I don't discredit him for never having fought tony

If you ever find yourself making one of these threads where your intention is to diminish a fighter by bashing everyone they beat, please stop and ask yourself first “do I want everyone to know I’m a shithead?”
That was by no means my intention. It was more of a discussion in terms of when we experienced prime Tony. I've been making the argument on this forum since before he fought Gaethje that Tony was out of his prime and people ridiculed me for it. 2015-2016 was Tony's prime imo. Still one of the top LW's to ever enter the octagon.

There are also people who think Gaethje finished Tony's career and I don't agree with that either. He looked off by that point already.

Because the nature of what I posted is that those are actual facts.

"he didnt look as fast or nearly as healthy as he did vs charles". This is an opinion, not a fact. You may be right, but its certainly not a fact and hence why it's not included in a post that specified it's limited to facts.

"Cant discredit this guy enough id stay say he beats khabib and a loss to somone else just doesnt change that".

Also far from a fact, and extremely debatable as of late.

Not even close. Getting in a car wreck is no big deal and the preggo woman was a by product of it. I'm sure Jon wasn't hunting down vehicles until found a preggo to bang. And who cares if he has a gun in his car, drunk or not. Are you saying people should be criticized for getting drunk in their home while a gun is present? Cars are viewed as a home in regards of being able to having a gun and protection.

Those are a lot different than throwing a dolly at people and injuring them, or assaulting old guys at a bar or sexual assault. While Jon is stupid for what he did, it isn't even close to the off the field antics of the thug conor.

Well sorry if I misunderstood. It is a favorite tactic on Sherdog.

When he left his prime is probably impossible to pinpoint. I knew it was coming. Late 30s for a lightweight is old. I do agree that he didn’t look himself against Justin, but in the fight he did have flashes of brilliance and even almost finishing Justin who was save by the bell. The fight with Charles was a lot more troubling. At no point did he look like he was even in that fight.
