Tony Ferguson only has 2 top 10 wins.......

He's tied for the 9th longest win streak in UFC history and has multiple top 10 wins within it. Of course he deserves an oppurtunity to fight for the title.

Khabib would have fought Ferguson if Ferguson didn't fake an injury and duck him. I guess the pressure got to him.

You do realize Khabib dropped out of the bout the first time it was booked? Barboza replaced him.

Alvarez got the title shot on a 2 fight split decision streak over top 10 guys.

Ferguson has a big winning streak and sewed unholy violence upon Barboza and Thomson.

Pettis and Gil were both top 5 guys coming off title fights, and Pettis was top 15 P4P. They were more elite at the time Eddie beat them than anyone Ferg has fought thus far.

The Thomson fight was closer than you're remembering. "Unholy violence" probably doesn't work with that fight.

What? The Thomson fight was a drubbing. Josh got murked badly, never seen him dominated like that in his career and the 2nd round was a clear 10-8 and i think the 3rd mightve been but i havent hewatched it.

Did u mean the Edson fight? B/c that was definitely a close one and Tony was getting hit alot.

He can only fight who is put in front of him. if he was given RDA, Eddie or Khabib he beats them all. too creative and crafty in the striking and subs for all of them. He got RDA next.. I expect him to dominate RDA

who gives a fuck about arbitrary rankings lol using Healy as an example. He got in the top 10 for just 1 win over Miller, he then went on to lose his next 4 fights. What a top 10 fighter!!! lawl

Ferguson 7 wins in 2 years over Barboza and Thomson. Khabib 1 fight in 2 years. nuff said

Thats irrelevant and PRIDE/UFC champs have been along for along time anyways.

Holloway, Cub, Jacare, Yoel, Stephens, Nate, Khabib, Barboza, Glover, Lil Nog, Humble, Bader, Whittaker, Gegard, Kennedy, Mccall, Dodson, JoeB, Bagautinov, Assuncao, Mayday, Lineker, Brooks, Melendez, Wineland, Faber, Chad, Wonderboy, Hory, Demian, Ellenberger, Story, Matt Brown, Hunt, maybe Gastelum and Michael Johnson, etc.

All of them have at least 2 top 10 wins.
And half of them have had title shots.

Imo, Ferguson and Barboza have better claims to a TS than Khabib. Khabib should rematch RDA.

deserves it more than beeb tbh lmao if just on entertainment value alone.

I'm a Khabib fan but an argument could have been made for Ferguson, RDA or Khabib to get the next shot.

Not really.

Khabib is 1-0 in the last 2 and a half years.
Ferguson is 7-0 in that time span.

After Olderson received a ''title'' shot against Bisping nothing surprises me anymore but to say that Khabib has the same argument as Ferguson is simply ridiculous.

Pettis and Gil were both top 5 guys coming off title fights, and Pettis was top 15 P4P. They were more elite at the time Eddie beat them than anyone Ferg has fought thus far.

Sure Pettis and Gil were higher ranked. I just don't think their ranking is equal to that title bid trumping Ferguson's additional wins esp. considering how much more emphatic they were.

Really in the current landscape with champs coming from replacements and smaller win streaks I don't think Ferguson's win streak stands out as "not quite enough".

It's true that
For all the ppl crying about him not getting a title shot. Yeah hes on a very good streak but its not like hes been beating ranked guys left and right. Edson and Thomson are the only top 10 guys hes beaten and Josh is no longer in the UFC or a top 20 guy these days.

Rio, Kikuno and Trujillo are all unranked and mediocre or terrible fighters (Kikuno is washed, not the same guy from DREAM). Castillo is solid but many thought Ferg lost that fight. Tibau is always a tough fight for almost anyone, that was impressive even tho Tibau wasnt ranked.

I see ppl are comparing Fergs streak to guys like Hendricks and Holloway.....omm what

Hendricks beat 3 top 5 guys in Fitch, Kampmann and Carlos along with a top 10 guy in Kos. Holloway has beat 4 top 10 guys in a row including two top 5s in Cub and Lamas.

Assuncao had a 7 fight streak, undefeated at BW and 2 top wins against TJ and Caraway. Plus two very good wins against Eduardo and Munhoz. Yoel is undefeated @ MW, b2b top 5 wins, 1 top 10 win in Kennedy and 2 top 15 wins in Brunson and Tavares. Jacare had a great streak with a top 5 win in Okami and fringe top 5 in Gegard, along with guys like Brunson and Carmont who was top 10 at the time.

Tony simply doesnt have the quality of opposition going for him for most of his streak.

Truth is there are more than one guy deserving of a title shot @ LW right now and Tony is one of them but he doesnt stand out. Sucks for him LW is that stacked.
Actually, Josh wasn't even ranked in the top 10 at the time. That was his 3rd loss in a row. Ferguson only has one top 10 win -- against Barboza, who was ranked #10 by Sherdog at the time. In my opinion, Tony doesn't belong in title talks.

That being said, if he beats RDA, then he'll have a case. Wins over RDA and Barboza, along with a 9 fight winning streak, would put him right at the top of the list.

Better for Cerrone. Cerrone has nothing for Khabib. RDA is probably the second best in the LW division and Khabib made him look like a grappling debutant.
Nothing for Khabib? Let's not kid ourselves, Cerrone would crush Khabib if he couldn't lay on him for the whole fight. And Cerrone's not one to get grapplefucked.

Khabib would have fought Ferguson if Ferguson didn't fake an injury and duck him. I guess the pressure got to him.
You know Khabib pulled out first right? How fucking stupid are you?
