Tony Ferguson on kneeling

Tony the kind of guy to take a knee in a standing room only

Stop pushing problems where there isn’t any.
I get where he’s coming from. Not everyone wants to see/read political shit all day, everyday. It’s nice to watch the sport yo ur e into and not have to see those things sometimes. Nothing wrong with that.
And there's nothing wrong with athletes speaking up about issues that they feel are important.

And if you think there aren't problems with institutionalized racism in modern society, you're completely ignorant.

Context matters.

People TODAY, use the fist to identify with the BLM movement. The BLM founders self set-identify as “Marxists”. Their whole operation is based on textbook Marxism.

Interpret that as you’d like, but listen to your own advice and stop being disingenuous: You don’t get to overlook facts simply because it’s convenient to your argument.

The BLM movement, itself, is not a Marxist movement, in any way, shape or form. So it's not that I'm overlooking anything. It is a 1950's McCarthy-ist smear attempt, using a boogeyman that has no relevance in our society today.

Politifact said:
"I am fairly convinced these are mostly attempts to smear anti-racist activists. I think in some media, ‘Marxist’ is dog-whistle for something horrible, like ‘Nazi’, and thus enables to delegitimize/dehumanize them," Miriyam Aouragh, a lecturer at the London-based Westminster School of Media and Communication, told PolitiFact.

Black Lives Matter "is not an organization, but a fluid movement; it doesn’t actually matter if one of its founders was a liberal, Marxist, socialist or capitalist."

i didn't expect you to answer any of those questions.

I wrote what the act if kneeling means earlier in the thread and here you come creating your own definition of what it means.
This conversation is over as I truly cannot stand people like you.

If you're a so called "black man" you have a lot of reading and research you need to do. If you're not, quit fucking virtue signaling its fucking pathetic.
Have a shitty day.
Virtue signaling? No rational person can take offense to somebody kneeling.

Why do you assume I'm black? Nazis killing Jews was a Jew issue?

He seemed to have taken a knee over a wire cable....

that's what u expect an alpha to say

Nah. Gaethje craked him first.

Loved that fight.

Never heard of this dude. Did he tee up at the Players Championship this past weekend?

He literally says "Tall Stars & Stripes us " in the post while holding an American flag in the picture.

hes also holding the mexican flag in the other hand -- and starts off the whole caption with "conditioning"

right, he doesnt rest in training (not taking a knee as a colloquial term for not resting in sports)
Yeah, but the context of everything is suspect. Why would he mention that he only takes a knee during church, with everything going on right now :p

Because people ask about his conditioning, taking a knee is a term for resting in sports, especially in practice and he says he doesnt do that. Taking a knee in church probably just relates to the action common in catholicism, which as a mexican american, is probably his religion.

Then why would he include tall stars and stripes US at the end....

why would he hold a mexican flag as well? why would he add in varsity mentality.

relax, you dont need affirmation from everyone that they are anti blm -- most people dont care.

As I understand it, a famous NFL player who puts one knee on the ground during a national anthem to protest against racism against blacks in the United States.

My question is. Is the majority of blacks okay with this behavior as it is very common to play the national anthem for every match in the biggest leagues and around the country with other sports of minor league and importance?

You Americans who are disturbed by this behavior and then I think of all Americans of all skin tones, do you get angry?

Personally, if I had experienced this during a sporting event in Sweden, I would have called this treason. I get provoked when we have marches in this country in support of Floyd. To see black people who have fled to my country from Africa and shouting and behave like animals, and scream that we must fight racism in Sweden against the blacks?

It feels so wrong, it feels so out of place, and to see curious older couples stop by and get an angry look at themselves can make one wonder why this madness is happening. To demonstrate and base it on playing a victim in COVID times makes me as a Swede so immensely ashamed. 'Keep your distance and live the day with common sense' as the state tell us. And what do these people do? They gather in thousands at Möllevångstorget and shout racism.

I have a fair idea about the situation in the US and being black. But what the hell does that have to do with the blacks in my country?

To the blacks in the United States, I want to say that kneeling and plundering your towns are wrong things to do. You can attack discrimination and other injustices in other ways than despising your flag and national anthem and destroying others lifes.

And to the blacks who march in Sweden against racism, I just want to say. Go home where you come from!
