Media Tommy Explains

At this point who cares.

Whether he’s telling the truth or not -> the division needs to move forward without him.

Let him come back - if he can - and redeem whatever he’s worth.
Just curious? How quickly were you calling for Jones to be stripped? Tom defended just over 2 months ago. Jones was out for a full year with a torn titty but I can't recall any of his fans calling for his title to be taken.

Even if a broken orbital happened from a punch it's still Gane's fault for poking.

That dumbass could be the HW champion right now if he just closes his fist
I agree, Sucks for him so bad, It was all going so well for him and he threw it away

People talking about him is still good publicity.

I'm tired of this Brown syndrome saga , but I'm more interested to see him vs Gane now than I was in the first place.

if he can fight soon…great, IF not then create an interm title so we can put this stupid conversation to rest.

All you ppl pretending to be eye experts need to STFU………. Most annoying mma convo of 2025 and here we go again.

Tommy neck tatts still going on about this but we are the bad ones for criticizing him for this circus. The guy is a soft drama queen and took the easy way out. If he would just shut up he would not be getting any heat for this but he just keeps going on about it.

It's not about "how many times" he defended.

He's going to be out for a while. No point in holding the division and also no point in letting him remain champ if he's going to be out for so long.

3-6 months is best case scenario
6-12 months is more likely scenario

So, he would be inactive most of 2026 - strip him.

Might be the longest-lasting drama show about an eye-poke. I don't think Ping went on this long after he lost his eye. Not sure anymore.

Why are you ignoring the question posed?

Jon tore his titty and was out for a year. It was known to be that long while Tom could be back in a short time of 3-6 months.

So when did you start calling for Jon to be stripped of the HW belt?
Also are you calling for Topuria to be stripped? Hasn't fought since June and certainly won't fight any time soon. He also isn't unable to defend he is just unwilling.

Do all champs get stripped after 2 months? Islam won his title just weeks after Tom so when do we strip him? He isn't hurt and isn't booked to defend.

UFC needs to go back to fighting.

Dana got too comfortable going from looking for a fight to waiting for a fight -- things gotta change.

Can't fight vs won't fight is a worthless distinction. There should be Title fights in each male Division every 5-7 months.

Can someone tell me why they think he’s faking it at this point? I mean he’s not getting paid to not fight

To hold on to the belt for some kind of record? Seems like that would hardly be worth all of this.

Nothing. They are just being dumb. There's no reason for Tom to exaggerate anything.

Because it is irrelevant...

Jon Jones is GOAT status among many fans, critics, pundits and Dana White/UFC brass.

Tom Aspinall is... wait for it... just Tom Aspinall.

Nobody gives a fuck about Tom and all his eye issues. People care about holding up the division and I'm sure the UFC cares about their bottom line.

Tom doesn't get the same treatment as Jon the same way many NBA stars didn't get the same treatment as Michael Jordan.

Levels to this shit.
{<shrug}

OK so then why not just give Jon back the belt? He can defend it against the clones of Bin Laden, Ho Chi Min and Benedict Arnold at the WH.

I'm okay with Tom calling Gane a 'cheat' because it was a foul but I am curious as to what he thinks about his mate Ante Delijah tho.

Yep, there is not a chance that the eye poke in this eye caused that injury, the finger merely touched the eyelid.
Either he suffered the injury during camp and is milking it to blame his recovery time on someone else, or Gane injured him with a jab in the fight and he took the safe exit.
Or he needs an eye job anyway.

You wanna know how badly Tom cucked Jon and his fans? Just look at how they talk about him years later.

We've seen the DC/Stipe trilogy get dirtier as time moved on. I'm pretty sure Tom is going for an eye poke if he doesn't get a finish. Watch people will justify it here too as "payback", even though his pokes will 100% be intentional. I'd like to see the reaction here if it happens, because it'll show how many are just Tom fan boys and not just objective haters of fouls.
