To Everyone Saying Jones is Cherrypicking Stipe

Aspinall is only on a 2 fight win streak so denying him is also warranted.

See how this works?
A Jon who has only 1 win at HW is going to deny the guy who is on a 2 fight winning streak (7 wins at HW in the UFC)?

Your mma math is terrible.

Jones could also beat Aspinal’s ass and Sherdog would say Aspinal was never a real champion, was unproven, and overrated. That’s what happened with Gane.
Gane got D1 wrestled by Ngannou. Let that sink in for a second. Ngannou wrestle fuckd Gane. So of course Jon would and Jon wanted no part of the stand up and went to the immediate crotch sniffing vs Gane. His crotch sniffing isn't going to work on Tom, or most other HWs.

Stipe should not be in the title picture in the first place.
But he is and had the original title shot, so don't complain if you never beat him that you're seemingly behind him even if you've got a fake title.

This isn't hard. It's a self-inflicted wound by the UFC when they refused to simply do Stipe/Sergei as had literally been officially agreed upon as the backup fight if anything happened to Jon. They're the ones who introduced the curveball, while Jon and Stipe are right to sit here and say Aspinall's title means nothing.

Like, you guys do realize if Stipe had been the one who'd gotten injured we'd have gotten Jones/Sergei right? Sergei was the official agreed upon back up fighter by them. Jon would've fought Sergei unless you want to pretend he'd have turned down the official backup fighter he'd agreed upon.

Throwing Aspinall into things was the wrench that fucked everything up because nobody had ever agreed upon this. I'm all for Aspinall trying to claim supremacy, which he should do because he doesn't have it even if I agree he's the more worthy challenger.

Jon's 1 win was ranked #1, arguably beat the last champion (he didn't but there's a lot of retard scorers in MMA), and he did it effortlessly in 2 minutes when they'd only ever lost a 25 minute decision to the champ they again arguably beat.

Aspinall by contrast is on a streak of #10 Tybura and #2 Sergei.

Math is indeed hard for you. #1 > #2 >#10. Jon does have the best win.

The real issue is that nobody has a real definitive streak at HW going precisely because they didn't simply do Stipe/Sergei as had literally been officially agreed upon if Jon got injured. We're literally in a thread arguing Aspinall should fight Blaydes, who he has a loss to, and people saying he doesn't have to because he beat Sergei who beat Blaydes. They're the ones doing MMA math.

Jon has 1 win at HW, sat out 3+ years to finally fight at HW once Ngannou left. Tom has 7 wins in the UFC at HW. Yes math is very hard for you. Jon is ducking everyone who he knows would beat his ass. Jons last 4 fights before Gane, he arguably lost them all, Gus, Smith, Santos and Reyes. Jon is a duck and you is a cuck defending him.

That Remains to be seen. Aspinall has only fought 1 high level wrestler and that was Blaydes. His defensive wrestling is still entirely unproven

"Normally" the interim champ gets the next shot because they actually beat the other contender when the champion pulled out. Thus leaving them as the clear next contender as it sure as shit isn't the guy who just lost.

This didn't happen here as the UFC last second pulled Stipe/Sergei, which was the official backup, to put Aspinall in instead against Sergei. So we're still in the exact same position we were previously where Stipe hasn't "lost" his original shot.

Blame the UFC for being dumb for the short term gains of trying to justify their exorbitant MSG prices that were priced in based on it being Jon's retirement fight.
Stipe didn't earn his original shot in the first place. He lost his belt to Francis then was inactive for years until Jones called him out. He isn't the number 1 contender for any reason other than Jones says he is.

I sincerely hope he's getting paid for these posts because it would be incredibly pathetic otherwise.
He is. That is why he doesn't post about what he thinks about the result of an undercard fight. It is always a promotion of Jones as GOAT, convincing posters of Conor's ever-present starpower, that <insert fighter that had disputes with UFC here> sucked, or that the UFC isn't corrupt. Every time. Normal fans post about mundane shit. He only posts about PR talking points.

So clearly they don't pay him enough to make posts about anything besides the handful of bullet points he's supposed to discuss.

I shit on the UFC all the time and don't even watch 70% of their cards because they're garbage.

Enjoy your conspiracy theories and haterade though.

Poor Tom guy doesn't even realize he will ALWAYS be interim champion or maybe he does and that's why he's pushing so hard for the fight. Jones is gonna retire and take the belt with him. I figured everyone knew that by now.

Jones doesn't have anything else to prove but aspinal thinks he has the privilege to choose
Jones is the champ and Aspinall is the interim champ. The interim champ is calling out the champ as he should be doing. I fail to see the issue.

I'm not even a Jones fan. Jones is not the champ. He beat Gane for a fake belt.

Ngannou was the rightful champ and left.

Aspinal needs to beat top level competition in order to be considered champ.

Jones is just doing side quests at this point.
Aspinall needed a minute to KO Sergei who himself was coming off 5 first round KO’s over ranked competition.

I agree that Ngannou was the reigning UFC champ but he’s no longer a part of the company. It’s a bummer but there needs to be a champ and preferably an undisputed one.

Right now, we have an interim champ who just mowed down the universally recognized number one contender and a “lineal” champ who has fought exactly once at heavyweight. Neither guy beat the dude who left with the belt. I’d say that the heavyweight championship is very much in dispute.

The point is hindsight 20/20 bra. Gane was even odds with Jones and now everyone pretends they knew it wasn’t going to be competitive. Same would happen with Aspinall.

Gane just got wrestled fuck by D1 Ngannou. Everyone been knew Gane's wraslin was shit. Jon lost the standup in his last 3 or 4 LHW fights, but all of a sudden he is going to want to stand and bang with the bigger stronger guys at HW? Jon ducked Ngannou and the HW division until Ngannou left, and is still ducking the rest of the HW division by fighting the retired fighter in Stipe. Jon knows he gets slept fighting the real contenders at HW. I've always wanted to see Jon vs Blades, bc Blades would have always fucked him up.

Bro Blades is so overrated it’s not even funny, the guys got 4 KO or TKO losses against elite competition, lol zero chance against Jones. Shouldn’t matter to you anyways you must have big bags of money betting on Jones over Gane since you knew it all.

Aspinall is literally doing the exact same thing. Do you not see the hypocrisy? Also ducking top contenders

Jones would be Aspinals greatest achievement to date, just fighting him and losing to Jones a win for Aspiral. He's has a single PPV in his entire career. Win or lose, Aspinal wins

Jones chokes Apsiral out in two minute like he did Gane. "Apiral was never that good." "Aspinil was a can", "No one knows how Aspirinal is"

Just like Gane, Pav, Gus, DC, Rashad, Shogun etc. etc. etc.

All those guys were jones killers he was afraid. Look how they turned on Gane the same night.
