Rand Paul is done. There is only one conservative truly in the race - Ted Cruz. If you want establishment - Rubio. If you are just sick of all politicans - Trump. If you're voting Republican, you better pick your horse.

Ted Cruz is Canadian. I like my Presidents to be American.

I don't pick winners based on their probability of winning anymore; that just leaves us where we are now.

My state (oregon) will be blue regardless, so the only thing left is my pride. I won't sacrifice that for the chance at influencing a lose/lose scenario.

I can't pick Cruz because he's super religious and thinks religion should play a major role in government. He's batshit crazy as far as I'm concerned.
 
Trump is smarter than people realize. He has gone so far right on issues to attract that crowd. And still stayed anti establishment and liberal enough to come through as independent. I think he has broken the mold and people are sick of the parties so divided and he seems to be a medium. I probably wont vote for him but i see the attraction

and that is why Republicans lose. I held my nose and voted for Romney and McCain. Difference is I don't bash the other candidates in the party during the primary. Republicans eat their young.

I have no allegiance to the Republican party and extreme religiosity is a deal-breaker for me.

Rand is a hybrid of the best things about social liberty and the best things about fiscal conservatism. He might be running Republican, but in reality he's an independent.
