The idea there's some collective Republican business owner conspiracy to deny citizenship because it will hurt their bottom lines is dumb. The truth of the matter is that the idea of having millions of millions of voters who will turn Democrat is the big scare. And if the shoe was on the other foot, the Democrats would feel the same. There might be some truth to certain industries fighting against citizenship because of their potential losses in profits (construction is a big one), but the idea that it's as big of an issue to "Republican donors" as giving Democrats millions of more votes is ludicrous.

Hence why I said construction specifically,I don't know or assume to know what other industries want,,my common sense would however lead me to believe aside from construction there's numerous other labor specific jobs that have a bottom line directly effected by the legalization of immigrants.

The construction industry for sure. Farming, too. But the real battle is between Democrats who pretend to care but really just want millions of favorable voters, and Republicans who are scared that will happen. Everything else is just window dressing, IMO.
