News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

Don't you think the press and the authorities selectively giving things to the press are more at fault for that false hope? Why is it James Cameron's responsibility to clear the air and is he really going to be taken as the voice of authority when arms of the government and such are reporting banging noises every 30 minutes and no reports of and possibly dives for the wreckage from last known coordinates until the oxygen window runs out.
He shoulda came out and said something on Monday when he says he knew or he should just keep quiet now. It’s not like there’s not forum to get your voice out in these days.

I think he’s bullshitting now to make himself look good.

Just a quick note for everyone piling on about the use of a game controller - a significant number of military pilots use game controllers for their unmanned craft. The two biggest reasons are 1) that's what the kids these days are used to, and 2) they work exceptionally well for that task.

The companies that make them have also probably put more time and effort in to there design as well.

Everyone knows that military use game controllers for those reasons, but the military has specifically adapted those controllers professionally to work with such unnamed aircraft. That is why nobody is talking shit about the military using gaming controllers.

but this submarine douche just made his own because it was economically beneficial to his bank account.

Big Difference…

They ain't risking their lives on them then?

The companies that make them have also probably put more time and effort in to there design as well.

Judging by Rush's penchant for corner-cutting and shoddy engineering, using a controller built by a 3rd party (Logitech) was likely one of his better decisions.

I love me some Logitech, use it all over my house.

but I’m still not going to agree with the way this guy went around building his submarine, no matter the company or companies he went through to build it.

I mean hell, Logitech might have thought this guy wanted them to build him a controller for submarine simulator, not an actual submarine..

It is not the place of a private citizen to inject themselves into an ongoing investigation of a potential disaster. Even though he may have trusted his sources, and they turned out to be accurate, at that time it was still hearsay that would have been totally inappropriate to disseminate.

He’s calling it a nightmarish charade now. He was silent all week and you know people were calling him for comment. He should just remain quiet.
And you don’t know what he thought or knew on Monday or Tuesday was accurate cause he didn’t say anything. Only after the fact he’s like I knew it the whole time.

Thank you for posting this.

In addition to Cameron's views on the situation, we now have reasoning why the submarine didn't implode on its other dives.

'Cycling fatigue' namely of it carbon fiber shielding. As he said that doesn't happen with steel.
I didn't watch so sorry if I'm misinterpreting. Buy cycle fatigue absolutely happens with steel. Did he really say it didn't?

Now it seems they knew right away after comms lost the sub imploded.

Makes sense as if they lost comms they would immediately or near immediately release weights an floated back up. Apparently the navy knew right away.

Eta. To the blue font poster please don't reply I just got eyesight back thanks.

”disaster”

Watch it and find out

The gist of what he said is that it is more resistant to such fatigue. He states that you can do hundreds of dives with steel...not infinite dives.

Watch it and find out
Well there's a reason I didn't. I have some large files uploading on top of kids downloading game shit. We don't have the internet speed out here in the country that most of you are used to.

It's not like the families were going to give up hope in the face of how things were being reported because James Cameron told them to. I think The King of the World handled this one properly.
I think he himself said he was hoping against hope.
So he’s claiming that they lost coms, control and tracking and that he knows the weights were released somehow yet the crew up top didn’t notify anyone about it for another 8 hours?
That needs some sorting.

There are some people in this operation who have some explaining to do...and who should never have the safety of another human being in their hands again. Not just Stockton Rush.
