The Terminator had a a Terminator in it, not Terminators (outside of a few brief flashbacks).

Imagine Jaws, but with 7 sharks!!! Off the chain.

Typically in stories in the introduction
You introduce the characters.
I know it's weird for Gen z but that's how stories usually work. You guys kind of got raw deal (Arnold movie) with Harry Potter, Star wars sequels where deus ex machina was accepted. "Somehow palpatine returned... With a magical spell we didn't know about that got him out of jam and this is your uncle. He's a good guy. Surprise"

Great burn.

I never said it wasn’t really well done. Fantastic popcorn film.

Very easy to please the mouth breathers with a few explosions and cool songs.

Simpletons love the Fast and Furious too.

the whole idea of introduction, 2nd act end crash, third act rebuild and grow, has been lost by a lot of media
Rey could have worked if her past was revealed and she trained. It would have been a journey or kylo same story.
There is no moral to the story because you don't know the the characters or story until the end of the movie. So you don't know where they start.
By showing it was an alien you know who the antagonist is.

Dont forget the predators are hunting an autistic child because autism is a superpower and they can make autistic predators who will love sprite, cheese pizza and the green bay packers.
 
In the first movie when the t800 exoskeleton pursues them in the hallway and they close the door on it. The stop motion shit makes it look fuckin terrifying

Personally I prefer 1, but its up there with the best and has aged very well
