Social Thoughts on "Heritage" Americans/Canadians?

And yet

India was not unified. That's my point. I do not know even saying that gets pages back. They brutalized each other for millennia. I'm not pro colonist, but I'm not letting people act like that shit wasn't full of people doing the same exact shit to each other before the british showed up.

And the Native Americans and Canadians were peacefully living in harmony amongst each other and nature, right?
Would be surprising if a university in Karachi or Lahore were to acknowledge some ancient Hindu kingdom as the original inhabitants of the land they are on.

People were just animals back then. All this compassion and empathy is a relatively new concept.

When was the last time you read our Constitution without your adoration of this joke? You do know the rest of the world considers us an enemy?
What’s funny about this is that you’re an immigrant and I’m defending the position that you’re as much of an American as anyone. I mean, you probably hate America though so that might be wrong. I have a copy of the constitution and other important American writings right in my office.

If the rest of the world thinks of us as an enemy, we should immediately turn off all foreign aide. Except they don’t think of us as enemies. Only brain rotted leftists like you do.

Have you been under a rock? Our previous allies are going nuts at us. Britain stopped sharing intelligence with us as a very tiny example of how we can't be trusted. Tell me what you know about Denmark and Greenland and him lying about drugs from Venezuela while pardoning gigantic drug lords like Ross Ulbricht and Juan Orlando Hernandez? Are you championing those? You know the former's situation with underage crap, right? Why are you championing that?

Step away from the MSNBC

My resonse is what the fuck has it got to do with the thread topic of creating a euphamism for white nationalist supremacy?
Read the thread. It was turning into wakanda forever attack white people ignoring the genocide of 60-90 million people. I'm white, I don't think the genocide of 60-90 million Hindus was a thing to kind of ignore. Call me crazy.

Yeah people were brutal I'm defending anyone, it gets annoying when certain genocides just get ignored and people act like things like the Mughal empire was literally a genocidal enslaving brutal empire full of constant war and civil strife.

Imagine native Americans would feel if I started pointing out all the tribal warfare going on and ignored the native American genocide
I think a lot of backlash is created by pointing fingers at ancestors ignoring their own.
I don't even buy into race, I just have to have the terms ready to discuss this crap.

Generally these groups, white supremacist, mughal empire was a prosperous place nuts, extremist, it's a bunch of poor and badly educated people being conned by someone to distract from their money being stolen.
"You are poor, it's the Jews fault" etc

This group is the same shit. The beauty of "race" for conmen is you can constantly invent new races.

This thread was never meant as an attack on whites - it was a discussion of what constitutes a heritage American, and does race/religion affect perception of one's nationality.

Highlighting the atrocities of colonialism isn't an attack on whites - it is acknowledging a part of history (the same way acknowledging the Mongul genocide of Hindus is).

In my OP, I never said I was treated unfairly or meanly. I just said that I was perceived differently - that is my reality, but I'm not crying about it.

Race is largely a construct of Capitalism in the same way religious fundamentalism upheld monarchies. They're just mechanisms meant to separate the elites from the peasantry, or to recruit people to causes by race. Like how during Bacon's Rebellion, Bacon is often heralded as a Champion of Civil rights because he appealed to enslaved people, promising their freedom if they fought against the Britiah Governor Bekeley. Except Berkeley made the exact same offer on behalf of the crown and MORE enslaved people took it, fighting against Bacon's Rebellion being as Bacon's primary cause was eradication of Tribes.

Jefferson himself helped solidify this myth in his later writings on Bacon's Rebellion. This is around the time the actual Pocahontas myth also gained traction. The reality is Bacon was a wealthy elite himself, wanting to do what wealthy elites always want to do, expand. When he felt hampered from doing so, he threw a fit. Then tried to make the same offer to enslaved people that the Crown did (and made good on), to incorporate race and class into the mix.

I'd also add the beauty of race is you can not only create new ones, but you can add to it. I've posted this clip before but US whiteness wasn't always what it is now:

Pretty much. Bullworth the movie nails it down. I think interesting people started attaching white Christian brits for genociding people, immediately started defending Muslims who were genociding hindus. That's what Mughal empire was doing.
It's all supply and demand and two sides of the same coin. The wealthy hire people to attack other poor people and conmen to justify it. It's all of humanity. How the powerful divide us up changes with time and supply and demand. Old gods die as time and circumstances change, new races constantly pop up, new idealogies labels and hierarchies. It's all just a distraction in my opinion. Supply and demand.

There's a mythology in the US that the Founding Fathers did not do, and even stood against this ancient practice. The mythology is wrong, and that's it's both wrong and revered is why the US is locked into its own unique caste system

Pretty much every war in history has been about control over parts of supply and demand cycles with new money vs old money. The founding fathers were being blocked by the old money.
Washington was very self aware. He knew eventually he'd be judged as a slave owner and didn't want it hidden. We will judge eventually the same way but that's the nature history. We become pariahs or our sins are washed away.
It seems like places that acknowledge the truth as much as they can progress the fastest and the places that forget them do not.
That's the big problem with maga to me, the fill the airways with shit. Most neonazis haven't read both hitlers books. And if people start forgetting genocides, I don't see us progressing. The Chinese are at like 8000 or something silly total COVID deaths officially and spent an extra year and half fighting it because they were bsing records that's a recent example.
Tldr the minute we consider the founding fathers better than us, we are screwed.

Washington was just as guilty as anyone else. The mythology surrounding him was of this great Military leader. Washington was half the General his French Counterparts were. There was a signed confession of him having a French diplomat assassinated. That should have been a career-ending blunder but the US heirarchy was already sufficiently designed that people who fed their own legends could fail upward. And its these failures we have nearly deified, as opposed to the actual revolutionary minds of the day that have been buried under Nationalist History.

The problem with MAGA is not new. It's been done by every tyrannical heirarchy. Capitalize on the ignorance of the proletariat. Use the human gravitation to Faith heroes against us. Our Founding mythos is the root of the problem, because it is our National religion, not Christianity. Christian Nationalists wouldnt be such a threat without the Nationalism, because immediately they force the conversation to be simple:

- Do you value the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, everything that stands for?

Once you capitulate to this the follow-up is going to be them telling you how all that was influenced by Christianity, so it's ok that Chirstianity comes to dominate your life. I mean it already was and you take no issue with it, right?

This is narrative control 101.

The people who ACTUALLY stood against tyranny in the US didnt capitulate to that. They were bold enough to be Americans more in the likeness of Paine and Shays. Tyranny is wrong, it doesnt matter if it's a pauedo-democratic elected official or a Duke. Anyone who lives within the territory of a Narion deserves their say in how it's run. The Founding Fathers set up the same old protected classes just with different labels and titles, and took a lot of credit for sh*t England and France were already doing. Some of them had the nerve to speak of freedom while the Mothers of their own children were clasped in chains. The people who stood against this were often persecuted, financially ruined, executed, and imprisoned. That's American Revolution, it's a revolution of thought, not some exaggerated battles.
