Cormier has never been close to being submitted
And he never got knocked down before Rumble, either.
Cormier has never been close to being submitted
or fedor gets knocked out, who knows.
maybe DC leaves his arms like that because he knows he's safe against these guys.
You didn't use my logic. You used another example of a completely different fighter. You are the one that brought up DC being a high level wrestler who trains BJJ so I used your logic against you, try to keep up.
Choi Hong-man
Matt Lindland
Mark Hunt
Mark Coleman
Naoya Ogawa
Kevin Randleman
Mark Colema
Kazuyuki Fujita
Egidijus Valavicius
Lee Hasdell
These are the people Fedor submitted. Not exactly a who's who of well-rounded fighters. Mostly nobodies and fighters known to be lacking sub-defense.
Fedor was a legend, and a great fighter, but he wasn't Demian Maia or Fabricio Werdum, and Daniel Cormier is not Mark Hunt or Hong-man Choi
Anyone whos not a retard knows cain gave werdum that sub, werdum didnt catch cain in a armbar, he took the sub cain gave him (head to the left durning DB is giving someone a guillotine, you think cain doesnt know that?)
He was about to get kod.
So a less well rounded werdum beat fedor...now werdum is atleast twice as good and hes still not as good as fedor? That sounds biased and doesnt add up.
Dcs striking is much Better, he actually jabs and sets up combinations, fedor put his head down and swung widly.
Ask bigfoot sivla who has better striking, or maybe ask dan henderson, i dont think i remember dc being kod by dan henderson hm.
You didn't use my logic. You used another example of a completely different fighter.
Fedor got blasted by trt bigfoot...
Dc knocked trt bigfeets head off in the first roimd...
Fedor would get pasted onto the canvas by dc the ufc would be sponsored by russia..
Thing is the only time Fedor pulled off such a slick arm bar was against Mark Coleman. Hammer house in general is known for having a sub par sub game.
DC and Jones both maul Fedor.
And it just happens that DC and Jones are making the same mistakes fighters from Hammer house did. Funny isn't it? You would think an elite fighter like Jones, having the training camp he has would never make such silly mistakes, but guess what? he did, and he ended up with an hyperextended arm
Seriously, if Vitor had more balls Jones would already have a loss by armbar from the bottom.
Similar =/= the same. Cormier has better control and wrestling overall. He's also got shorter arms and he's stockier, harder to sub. He's never been subbed, that's all we know and you are just making wild assumptions that he'd get subbed easily.Who fit the exact logic you were using. You said that Fedor won't submit DC because he is a high level wrestler who trains BJJ, that description fits Cain as well, it also fits Coleman.
You can't find a more similar fighter to DC than Cain.
Lol you sound so salty. You're jumping into a conversation you were not part of, I brought up Cain because someone else said that DC is a high level wrestler who trains BJJ and that he's never been submitted. I then brought up the fact that he's never had his submission game tested and Cain is similar to DC, Cain had also not been submitted but had never had his submission defense tested either and the first time it was he got submitted.
The idea that Fedor cannot submit a high level wrestler with good submission defense is stupid because it's happened twice against Mark Coleman. DC's submission defense is entirely untested so assuming that one of the best sub grapplers ever at HW can't submit him is stupid too.
Yeah so? Well rounded fighters lose to specialists all the time, look up Jake Shields, almost everyone he's ever beaten is more well rounded than he is.
That's because you're being illogical, Werdum isn't at least twice as good as he was in Pride he was a top 10 fighter then as well, MMA doesn't work like some sort of video game like you seem to be thinking where there are power levels or some shit.
Fedor's head movement is so much better than DC's it's why he's one of the least hit fighters of all time. Fedor got hit less than Machida and Anderson per minute. You just don't understand the sambo style of punching, it looks wild but it's not, the style incorporates strikes and head movement at the same time and strike transitions to the clinch for trips or throws.
Bigfoot got outstruck on the feet by both men, he only beat Fedor on the ground and he's 280+, DC is not.
Dan Henderson also got outstruck on the feet, he finished Fedor on the ground in a scramble after almost getting finished.
Do you even watch fights?
It would have been interesting to see what Vitor would have done if he had Aoki's or Mir's mentality when it comes to submissions. I think he would have snapped Jones' arm if he was willing to do it like Mir or Aoki.
You're right hong man choi is such a killer, lets not forget the two guys fedor got finished by, dc finished quite easily, but noo keep pretending.
According to Vitor he eased up on the armbar once he felt Jones arm popping.
“I’ve always had great respect for Jon Jones and know he is a great champion. When I felt his arm snap, I decreased the pressure, and he got out. Simple as that. During the bout, he managed to work his elbows well (from the top), but I was never afraid. But he was very good in the fight.”

Dumb mistake if true.
