Think before you react. Glover is greater than Aldo.

Glover Teixera is greater than Jose Aldo. Hear me out before making a knee-jerk reaction comment.

First, their records are almost identical. Aldo is 30-7. Glover is 32-7.

Aldo at the prime age for MMA athletes of 34, desperately retreated from his natural weightclass (something you never saw Glover do when things got rough).
Evidence: Volkanovski 32, Oliveira 31, Usman 34, Adesanya 32, Blachowicz 38, Ngannou 35

A Glover championship will mean much more than Aldo's.
Evidence: Aldo's championship reign was at featherweight, a division that literally did not exist before him, and the UFC named him featherweight champion without him having to even win a fight first!
Glover will be 42 next month when he fights for the championship.
If he wins, he will become the first UFC champion over the age of 40 since the legendary Randy Couture.

If you look Aldo's resume, it pales next to Glover's.
Aldo's best wins:
Chad Mendes
Korean Zombie
Frankie Edgar
Cub Swanson
Chito Vera

Glover's best wins:
Ryan Bader
Rampage
Ricco Rodriguez
Sokoudjou
Thiago Santos
Anthony Smith
Rashad Evans
OSP
.

If you put Ricco, OSP or Sokoudjou there, you can also add for Aldo the following:
- Faber
- Moicano
- Florian

Even Glover's losses were to much tougher competition.
Aldo: Conor, Holloway, Volkanovski
Glover: Rumble, Gustaffson, and Jon Jones!

Give it up for Glover. Don't have a GOAT conversation about Aldo and leave Glover out of it.
Thought about it. Just going to omit top wins of Aldo and expect to be taken seriously? lol

you just started watching mma 4 years ago. stop talking.

Yes, Danny Glover is a much better actor than Jose Aldo.

Desperately retreated from his weightclass? The one he absolutely dominated for 6 years?

Shitty troll thread, pointless. For what, Glover shilling? Such a weird comparison.
Why didn't he go get his championship back? The writing was on the wall. He finally had some good competition. Featherweight has been behind the big boys divisions for years and years.

LHW is dogshit compared to FW. Those aren't even close to all of Aldo's best wins and you're also ignoring that he beat Mendes and Edgar twice. Shameful disingenuous thread.

3/10 troll try better next time
Not trolling at all. I don't get the Aldo worship here when Glover is the more impressive fighter with the more impressive career, made all the more impressive by him reaching new heights when others have hung it up for good.

Sokodjou.
OSP.

Lol. I mean that's obviously a trolljob, but including those names was overkill. I mean if you excluded Sokodjou alone I would've thought for like 1.5 seconds you are not trolling.

Way too much effort for such an obvous troll thread but i will respect the efforts
I'm not trolling at all. I should have added this earlier: unlike Aldo who once the fight goes against him, it's all over - Glover has turned around fights where he's getting his ass kicked to come back and win!

Seems like a lot of time to spend on a troll thread.
Nothing troll about it, homie. We can add that Glover is the more well-rounded fighter. Striking, wrestling, submissions. When was the last time Aldo submitted an opponent?

LOL Moicano, really?
Ricco was UFC champ! OSP fought for the belt too!
You think Faber is more scary than Sokoudjou?

That's your jealousy talking.
But I am a Christian and I believe in forgiveness.
Think it over the next few days and revisit this thread after the shock has worn off and you've been able to think it over with a clear mind.
You will be welcomed with open arms, brother.
