Think before you react. Glover is greater than Aldo.

Glover Teixera is greater than Jose Aldo. Hear me out before making a knee-jerk reaction comment.

First, their records are almost identical. Aldo is 30-7. Glover is 32-7.

Aldo at the prime age for MMA athletes of 34, desperately retreated from his natural weightclass (something you never saw Glover do when things got rough).
Evidence: Volkanovski 32, Oliveira 31, Usman 34, Adesanya 32, Blachowicz 38, Ngannou 35

A Glover championship will mean much more than Aldo's.
Evidence: Aldo's championship reign was at featherweight, a division that literally did not exist before him, and the UFC named him featherweight champion without him having to even win a fight first!
Glover will be 42 next month when he fights for the championship.
If he wins, he will become the first UFC champion over the age of 40 since the legendary Randy Couture.

If you look Aldo's resume, it pales next to Glover's.
Aldo's best wins:
Chad Mendes
Korean Zombie
Frankie Edgar
Cub Swanson
Chito Vera

Glover's best wins:
Ryan Bader
Rampage
Ricco Rodriguez
Sokoudjou
Thiago Santos
Anthony Smith
Rashad Evans
OSP

Even Glover's losses were to much tougher competition.
Aldo: Conor, Holloway, Volkanovski
Glover: Rumble, Gustaffson, and Jon Jones!

Give it up for Glover. Don't have a GOAT conversation about Aldo and leave Glover out of it.

Desperately retreated from his weightclass? The one he absolutely dominated for 6 years?

Shitty troll thread, pointless. For what, Glover shilling? Such a weird comparison.

I've been saying it a lot, Aldo is soooo overrated

Aldo's natty weight class is BW where he's still getting mogged by most. He spent the bulk of his career at FW and there he only lost championship fights to guys who should be at LW. Smaller guys age in dog years, so what was his prime vs what was Glover's prime is harder to compare. But, speaking of age, Aldo isn't showing signs of stopping and already has almost as much fights as Glover, so, after it's all said and done, he could have a far more impressive resume than Glover. Glover could change it, but he has, so far, never been a champ either. Meanwhile Aldo could very well find himself getting another [interim] title at some point soon, on top of already being a reigning, defending champ.

The only big difference where I favor Glover is the fact that he's a grown ass man who fought other grown ass men. Bigger guys might lack skills, but size matters in combat sports. Epecially in UFC where the whole point was to find out who baddest dude on the planet is, without weight classes protecting you. So for this reason alone I think Glover's career is more impressive, but from a dweeb analyst MMA fanboy point of view - it's still Aldo who's greater.

Seems like a lot of time to spend on a troll thread.
