I'm good. I didn't push it, I think I could have pulled another 40 lbs out of my ass. Plus if anything today is purely form work.


I cleaned and snatched. I fucking sucked today. This is one of those days where I should be flogged with a telephone cord. I couldn't get in the hole. I couldn't stop leaning forward.My left foot kept going out wider while my right stayed in the same place.

BTW

What are the benefits of the O-lifts done from a deficit ? I know it's not anything I need to worry about but it interests me to an extent. I am assuming it's used to generate more power through a longer range of motion thus making the standard easier. I am probably way off though.

 
Helps reinforce proper position, specifically in the first pull. Will make the start of the pull easier and can be used if you are weak off of the ground, but this is pretty rare. Can also be used just to increase the relative intensity of a work set.

Seem to recall reading that Alexeev would sometimes do snatch pulls off of a five inch block.

EDIT: I went out and C&J'd. From the hang. Triples and doubles were used. I lowered each jerk slowly.
