Social There is a huge protest in Melbourne, Australia

Fair call that, I work in the university sector which has just been decimated so I'm hoping we get things back to normal as soon as possible. You're right about how effective our measures have been. It's amazing we're giving the fed gov stick considering the low numbers. If we had the US' numbers or hell even just New York's can you imagine how shit would have gone . Only major blunder so far was the Ruby Princess otherwise the Australian gov response and the state responses have been pretty bang on.

Misjudging jobkeeper by $65billion is worth a mention.

Big mistake, but in the right direction.
Whether the interest is a real loss depends on the economic recovery.

If it turns out that stimulus wasn't needed.
Under spending on stimulus is arguably worse than over spending.

Well the estimates are that the additional 60bn raised will cost them 180 million in interest if it was raised unnecessarily due to the lack of eligible claims. However chances are that the deficit blowout will eclipse that anyway. I doubt Labor will convince them to include more casual workers.
