I try to always have bets where both sides think they're crushing a can, and then we find out who the can really is. Even the election one. The case for Trump has always been either "there's a lot of time left and you never know" or "the Republican narrative of Biden being a drooling dotard is actually true and if he gets more coverage, that will be apparent." Never been a positive reason to think Trump was the likely winner that wasn't based on taking propaganda too seriously.

It's not looking good lol. Even if the 2nd debate was "changed" to a virtual debate, it was changed because the Prez himself caught Covid and would be within the 2 week isolation period (even if by one day). That's on him, so if he actually refuses the debate because he "can't be bothered going virtual" or whatever then it is a win for you. We both agreed that the Commission sets any rules, and the individuals debating must follow them, and Trump currently isn't following the rules laid forth. I'm hoping he is posturing as I legitimately didn't think he'd make an excuse to not debate in any format or change, but it's looking like he's found one and is going to ride with it.

@Jack V Savage I'm guessing the only X factor would be if Biden and his camp accommodate Trump's wishes to move the date, and it's agreed upon with the three Biden/Trump/Committee.

Trump, who is eager to return to the campaign trail despite uncertainty about his health, said he wouldn’t participate if the debate wasn’t in person. Biden’s campaign then suggested the event be delayed a week until Oct. 22, which is when the third and final debate was already scheduled.

Next, Trump countered again, agreeing to a debate on Oct. 22 — but only if face to face — and asking that a third contest be added on Oct. 29, just before the election. But Biden’s advisers rejected squaring off that late in the campaign.

So I'm thinking the only way I can still push is if Biden is like "well hey no big deal, we'll just do a different date if it's cool with you" and they sign off on that with no escalation, and then somehow still do a 3rd debate. Seems like they made the suggestion themselves to move to Oct. 22 instead of holding his foot to the fire. But Biden said no chance on doing a 29th debate so close to the election. So I think we can revisit in the near future to see the positions Biden and Trump take in the coming days. If there's only 2 debates, then that's completely on Trump and you win, so I can only push if there's 3 total debates.
