Bizzarro world emergency.

400k apprehensions is not an emergency? And that's "apprehensions".
Did you know that it costs $200/day to house those apprehension? We're spending billions just housing them, as in several billions/annually.
We got at least a million trying to pour in the country every year, and not all of them looking to do legal things in this country.

Yeah, it's an emergency, that nobody gave serious attention to prior.

You accepted that Russian CT brainfed to you by CNN.
You'll eat up anything fed to you by the mainstream media.

Funny thing is that you need to have a Brain to be CT'ed.

I question that he actually does. <Moves>

Why did Trump wait 2 years to declare this emergency?
He was trying to go through the House and Senate. Ryan dropped the ball when R's still held the House and now Dems hold it and all he asked for was a little over 5 billion but enough Dems won't give him anything close to that so he used this totally legal tool he has as POTUS.

Some of you will just never understand Trump. He probably was saying that he didn't need to do this because Congress should have given him adequate funding for border security including enough for a wall/barrier/fence...but since they won't he is now declaring the emergency.

What? He literally said in the same press conference that he had so much money for the border that he didn't know what to do with it, when he was trying to spin the deal like he won. So which is it?

The fact that you guys have to scramble to try to justify the bullshit that comes out of his mouth every time he speaks is very telling.

Yes. They are both walls. And the "fence" is much like a wall.

This conversation is frivilous.

Leftists...fuck it....I'm calling them Liberals even though they're really not as far as the definition goes..

Liberals here are arguing semantics now with a fucking word. Hilarious. <Lmaoo>

Yeah, it's an emergency, that nobody gave serious attention to prior.

Just like Trump gave it no attention the two years he had both a conservative congress and senate that would have easily signed his funding?

I never underestimated it. Where did you get that impression? I literally said this is all part of his plan to get those typical stay at home voters out to vote for him again 2020 like they did 2016. They're his key to victory much more so that swing voters.
I think to win again he needs both the "unseen base" and more of the same democrat apathy we saw in 2016. I can't imagine anyone other than Hilldawg herself slowing down the stampede of voting democrats this time. We'll see, but I expect a record turnout. The Senate also has a decent chance to flip blue. Of course if either thing happens this wall never breaks ground.

He got 1.4 billion for border security including fencing. Is a fence a wall now?
No.

But that is the position that Trump and his Trumptards take as they dick tuck and retreat from his prior position that it would not be a fence would be a big beautiful concrete wall from sea to sea

Donald J. Trump

✔@realDonaldTrump

Jeb Bush just talked about my border proposal to build a "fence." It's not a fence, Jeb, it's a WALL, and there's a BIG difference!

Jan. 11, 2017
“On the fence — it’s not a fence. It’s a wall. You just misreported it.” — News conference in Manhattan

March 3, 2016
“But — and I used an example. And this isn’t necessarily what was said, but whatever was said, the wall’s 50 feet high. Is it going to be 45 feet or 40 feet? That could very well be. That could very well — he wants it to be higher.” — Republican presidential debate

Jan. 11, 2018
“If you have a wall this thick and it’s solid concrete from ground to 32 feet high, which is a high wall, much higher than people planned. You go 32 feet up and you don’t know who’s over here. You’re here, you’ve got the wall and there’s some other people here.” — Interview with The Wall Street Journal

oh and Mexico was going to pay for it.

August 2015
“Mexico must pay for the wall and, until they do, the United States will, among other things: impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages; increase fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican C.E.O.s and diplomats (and if necessary cancel them); increase fees on all border crossing cards — of which we issue about one million to Mexican nationals each year (a major source of visa overstays); increase fees on all Nafta worker visas from Mexico (another major source of overstays); and increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico (tariffs and foreign aid cuts are also options).” — Campaign statement on immigration

And if Mexico did not pay for it,it was going to pay for itself

June 21, 2017
“And we’re thinking of something that’s unique. We’re talking about the southern border, lots of sun, lots of heat. We’re thinking about building the wall as a solar wall so it creates energy and pays for itself.” — Campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

-----------

LOL, Poor Trumptards.

You have to feel bad for them at how badly they get owned on this topic and how much dick tucking and spin they have to lie to themself about to think they are winning.

The master negotiator showed the Art of the Deal by turning down almost $25B, then letting Ann Coulter bully him into turning down $1.6B and then after Nancy Pelosi makes him her bitch he sheepishly accepts $1.3B while trying to proclaim that a win. lol.

I don't think the American Public (The Majority) wants Socialism to replace Capitalism here.

Americans don't want dictatorships either. Well, i guess some do.

man that's one ugly crowd. can't remember the last time I've seen that many ugly together in one place. probably had to be the last time I watched a Chiefs game.

Should not have signed that bill
“In simple English, every new unaccompanied minor who arrives at our border will trigger an amnesty for multiple adult illegal aliens who are already in the country,” Stein said of the provision. “The illegal aliens who will be eligible for protection from removal include not just actual sponsors, but those who might be potential sponsors and every member of their households.”
Democrats are hellbent on destroying this country as quickly as possible.

You think wages are stagnant because illegals?

I just read an article about this issue written by the Harvard Business Review and word illegal is not mentioned once and neither is the word immigrant.
For blue collar laborer positions? Of course. Unquestionably.

Just like Trump gave it no attention the two years he had both a conservative congress and senate that would have easily signed his funding?

Trump administration cracked down on illegal immigration like nobody in the past. That is a fact. As to wall funding, many R's are globalist scum mascarading as "fiscal conservatives", while giving away billions in aid to Israel. Yeah, there is that problem too. Would you even call McCain, Murkowski and Flake conservatives? They had an R to their name, but those three could sink any bill, so Republicans in the Senate was always going to be a major issue.

lol @ quoting the unseen base (aka Silent Majority, it's called). I've already pointed out that it's larger than anyone thinks 'cause many don't answer the Pollsters when they call.

Anyway, it's still a long way 'till 2020.

The Dems are already beginning to wreck themselves by supporting the Ludicrous Green New Deal which embraces Socialism to a tee.

Wait two Years to declare an emergency? Sounds more like don't promise deals you can't produce. He also brought up the election as a reason to do it.

It's gotten plenty of serious attention, that's why apprehensions have been dropping for two decades. Bush and Obama both sent record numbers of troops to the borders during their tenures.

And the apprehensions were higher in 2016, why wasn't it an emergency then?

It then dropped to a 40 or 50 year low in 2017 without building a wall, so why is an emergency wall that will take more than a decade to build suddenly the solution? Other than because DJT used it as a campaign slogan?

If we need a wall so badly why didn't it have enough support to compel legislators to fund it democratically in the last two years when the gop controlled every branch of government?

I'm not even against building walls and fences where they are needed, but this is a pretty clear abuse of emergency power.

Me : "I don't think the American Public (The Majority) wants Socialism to replace Capitalism here."

Try harder next time. <LordRoose>

(oh and try to quote correctly and not fuck up)

Yeah, trump only has support from like 30% of the people. So you are right, a majority don't want a trump dictatorship. Just the worst 30% seem to.

man that's one ugly crowd. can't remember the last time I've seen that many ugly together in one place. probably had to be the last time I watched a Chiefs game.

I see a couple of solid 7's and a firm 5.
Mom in the corner also looks like she was a sound 6 in her hayday.

Oh I thought maybe it was because he didn’t support DACA or something. I swear he had like 25 billion last year for border security but I could be mistaken. Just weird why he didn’t declare the emergency sooner. Wonder when Mexico is gonna write the reimbursement check
