It was a "win" for all Americans. Our tax dollars won't be wasted on something with little tangible benefit.

We will be speding 1.3 measly billion on a wall that Border Patrol said will help them do their job. I think it's absurd we give over 3 billion/year to little ol Israel in military "aid" but we can't fund our own wall. Isreal got their wall, get free billions of dollars from us.

And Democrats got a big fat BANANA in return. No DACA, no agreement on family separation, etc....

Maybe, but everybody came out looking bad for different reasons. Trump couldn't deliver on one of his main campaign promises and dawdled when he probably could have gotten it done, but it has called to attention the dems' support for illegal immigration and disdain for border security.

Even Rasmussen has shown that Trumps approval has been increasing since the Democrats started this fight over the wall and that improvement has come from people on the left, changing their minds.

Unfortunately politics these days consists mostly of politicians trying to one up each other than giving a shit about what's best for the American people.

While I agree, I’m also good with our tax dollars funding a wall.

It was a bad look for Trump to promise that Mexico would pay for the wall. I figured he would come up with some way to have them end up paying for it. That being said, the money he wants for it is a drop in the bucket of our overall budget.

If we aren’t going to fund and man the border agents adequately, a barrier can at least help them in places they can’t afford to cover.

So, even though it is a stain on Trumps reputation, I’m fine with my taxes covering the wall.

Hell yeah, good stuff Mr. President. $23 billion isn't enough though. I say send all branches of the National Guard door to door to everyone who voted for Hillary and collect $1-2k from them, either forcefully or not to add to the wall fund.

I think the aid to Israel would be better spent with real initiatives to better communities that actually need it here in the states. Also, we need to heighten border security while simultaneously figuring out immigration reform. Both sides need to start doing what’s right.

Too bad Trump didn't go after the real problem which are the americans who hire illegals. That is how you stop illegal immigration, that and ending the stupid war on drugs. A free solution that would have worked better.
