Well, he's dumb enough to shut the government down and vow not to reopen it until he got funding for his wall, but caved 5 weeks later. He won't get Wall funding then will try and circumvent Congress and then lose in the courts and his supporters will forgive his failure and blame it on the Dems

I doubt he tries another shutdown. He can declare emergency powers and let it run through the courts. That way he has an out for his base by blaming it on obstructionists while not actually harming the government.

The Democrats didn't shut down the government, Trump shut down the government. As far as shutting down the government for stupid reasons is concerned Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich shut down the government for the 2nd longest time in history simply because he didn't like his seat on Airforce1.

No exactly (but mostly). He was mad that Clinton never invited him and Dole to the front of the plane for budget talks and also that they made him exit out of the back of the plan.

At this point, he should just defy the courts who have no authority over the execution of laws or powers specific to the president. Declaring a national emergency is his power specifically.
