Lol at the list of douchers who quoted my last post. 3 weeks. Trump made it clear what happens in 3 weeks.

LOL Trump cant even make it clear what happens the next day, much less 3 weeks.

It will all depends on what's going on Fox News in three weeks.

Trump also made it clear he wouldn't sign anything without wall funding. And yet here he is doing just that.

Also said he wouldn't take vacation or golf, had a great HC plan, would hire the best people, and any number of denials about various scandals that then turn our to be lies.

Trump saying something is worth as much as a Trump University degree.

For all the goobers celebrating. .we agree this is just for 3 weeks right? And he was very clear we'd have another shutdown or national emergency if there wasn't wall funding at that point ...right?
he will never do another shut down.

he had to dick duck and accept the most humiliating defeat to start it up this time as he saw the Dem's were never going to cave and the anger towards him was growing.

In 3 weeks he will be forced to make another meaningless gesture to pretend he still has some power and that not all of it was handed to POTUS Pelosi and that will be to try and use his 'Emergency' powers. That will end up in a long court battle and another defeat for him and no wall.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and see what happens in 3 weeks but if this is it, then yeah I'll say I'm let down by Trump as much as I am our whole gov't. A barrier at our border should not be this controversial.

Then why are all the selling points for why we need one exaggerated or outright misrepresentation?

There isn't public support for a wall so why would there be political support for one?

I can't believe the demoncrats were willing to shut down the government, refuse citizenship for the poorest of immigrants (dreamers), postpone the state of the union, and stop paychecks to the people that serve america all because of $5 billion to make america safer.
Nice spin attempt...bravo!

1. The dreamers are in jeopardy only because Trump and republicans defunded DACA...they caused this mess and offered only a temporary reprieve from the mess they caused

2. Trump was going to sign a clean CR until Ann and Hanity talked mean to him. Then he shut down the government down because he didn't get his way.

3. He had two years to pass funding for this wall but it wasn't a emergency then...just like it's not one now. The reason republicans are freaking out is they got their asses handed to them in November...full stop, they were trying to get something to run with for 2020, and they figured that they could say "we got the wall". So he shut the government down to try to complete a campaign promise

4. Democrats introduced numerous bills to get people paid, all were not brought to the floor by Mitch.

5. The vast majority of the research says that the wall wouldn't make us any safer. This is from our military and experts from every department. It's nothing more than a symbol that we're blocking evil brown people from entering the country. A poorly veiled dogwhistle to racist elements in the republican base. If you want to make Americans safer with 5 billion, how about you target the ports of entry where shit actually enters the country. Increase the number of border agents, giving them the technology that is available. Maybe safeguard our elections from foreign nations influence. Or idk, don't try to pull out of Nato...

Let them have their moment. It's been a tough couple of years for them.

I personally don't think they are. I suppose it depends on sources but my concern is the massive amount of money we spend on illegal immigrants and what else they cost us, like stagnation of wages in blue collar fields.

There is support for a wall. There isn't support for a shutdown for a wall.

Thats pretty much how it looks from my angle too. I just can't see such fear over a physical barrier at our border.

You can hate on Nancy Pelosi all you want, but she just bitch slapped Donald Trump and showed him for the poser he is. She was 2 steps ahead of him the whole time

I have houses in Charleston, Savannah and Atlanta. For food, culture, and business opportunity Atlanta is the hands down winner. For hunting, fishing and beaches it's Charleston. Savannah is mediocre on most levels. I spend about 6 weeks a year in Asheville and would spend more if I could. Great city and area but hard business opportunities are tough. My family is in Florida and I would.neber live there. Not my vibe. New Orleans is unbearable hot 3 months each year. Also, Ive been mugged once, had my hotel room robbed and a car broken into all in New Orleans.
If you say so, boss. I lived near Charleston for two years and have visited Atlanta a few times. IMO Charleston wins every category you listed except business opportunity. I also prefer the vibe I get in Savannah to Atlanta's, although it admittedly has less to offer.

try from this angle then

Happy to help clear the view.

You don't think it is a misrepresentation for the administration to talk about the amount if narcotics brought into this country while refusing to acknowledge that the drug enforcement agencies in this country have concluded that the vast majority of narcotics do not enter the country through illegal crossings

Trump has not done his homework on the subject and as such is platform is not based on any evidence or even logical reasoning

Where are you getting this idea there is public support for a wall at all? There's never been a poll indicating there us support for a wall, especially not a non-Mexico financed one. I know you'll dispute any and all polls, but then you are still left with supposition as your only backing for your view point. And don't say because Trump was elected because you can vote for someone without supporting all their policy positions.
