Would you approve of Trump using emergency powers to build his wall?

I’m case anyone missed Trumps comments on how government workers not being paid should get by. “Work along”

When they go for groceries, they will work along,” Trump said. “They know the people. They’ve been dealing with them for years. And they work along.”

Man this guy has the best words

Imagine filling your cart with groceries at your local Kroger, Jewel, Piggly Wiggly or Whole Foods and you offer no money and say, “I was hoping you would work along”.

He’s demonstrated on multiple occasions he doesn’t understand how buying groceries works.

It's funny how Trump's fans think he's some alpha male, here to stand up to all the snowflakes, when in reality they voted for a somehow bitchier version of Lucille Bluth.

Considering most Feds are Democratic voters, I see them turning on Dems sooner for not caving to Trump. Meanwhile Trump is pumping up his base and hardcore supporters. It's a lose-lose for Dems. Silly strategy, they'll have to cave.

Besides, Trump has no incentive to reopen the government without the wall funding.

Boo-hoo, poor federal workers who will all receive backpay. I can understand if they were not paid at all, but the fact is they'll get paid eventually. People in business do this all the time- and with a lot more risk involved.

I don't plan on shedding any tears over the "furlough" situation.

Troll better............

Thats not what I'm saying. Im saying he'll enact emergency powers (declare the border an emergency for military funding) as he reopens the gov't. He'll act like he's ending the shutdown for the people but being forced to call an emergency because of those horrible liberals.

Libs will wish they had accepted that amnesty deal.

Trump knows how to play to the viewing Audience.

Pelosi and Schumer are way over the heads here trying to Out-Trump Trump.

That's because the bank who holds your mortgage doesn't give a damn about you getting back pay at some later date neither is the light company, the cable company, the car company, the grocery store or your kids stomachs.

I think you're drastically overestimating his ability to govern perception outside of his hardcore base.

Declaring a national emergency on this will look to most people as Trump flailing because he can't get what he wants done legislatively speaking. This clearly isn't a national emergency, otherwise he wouldn't have mostly sat on the issue for two years. It's a political emergency for Trump.

Now if there was only some way to get rid of those 35% of federal employees who were telling the media they would quit if Trump was elected. This was used repeatedly under the idea that his election would cause chaos. I guarantee none of those scumbags actually quit.

LOL at how times change.

Federal workers shouldn't live beyond their means. If you're living from paycheck to paycheck, you have nothing but yourself to blame. People in business take risks and put their own money upfront and don't get paid for months or even years before business breaks even.

All the scumbags on the D side flipped their promises and positions on immigration. It's all sanctuary state and open borders. I wonder when Democratic voters will hold them accountable.
