Farce, it's gone from Charity fight in a different org, to UFC fight, to UFC title fight... Some serious butt licking going on.
I hope it's a draw and both are injured for a year.
"On Monday, those within the MMA community began revealing Twitter messages that they received from the official UFC Twitter account about UFC 257 event info. This, of course, is the event where Poirier and McGregor will be headlining on Jan. 23."
"When speaking to the UFC DM chatbot, as you follow along with the conversation and ask for the next event details, the chatbot notes a little something that would be news to the public."

“Don’t miss Poirier take on McGregor for the lightweight title bout. Who do you think will walk out of the Octagon with the W.?” the UFC chatbot says.
BJPenn.com has reached out to the promotion seeking confirmation of the additional wrinkle to the fight but has yet to hear back. After hopping in the DMs with the chatbot for an extended “conversation,” the bot reiterates; “With the lightweight title bout at stake, UFC 257 has 1 epic main event!”

Indeed huge if true!
Your thoughts?
Its a bot dude.Yes because a 20 something running ufc twitter is gonna be grammatically correct
I hope it's a good scrap. Neither of them suffer serious injuries and they both stay active. I feel as if Dana did cave. For a moment he almost appeared to be prepared to just let Conor stay on the shelf.Farce, it's gone from Charity fight in a different org, to UFC fight, to UFC title fight... Khabib had 3 Title defences in under 25 months (and 4 Title fights in under 32 and he was suspended for 9 of those months) and in that time there were also 2 (completely pointless) Interm Title fights, not really sure how his reign contributed to "bringing the division to it's knees".That’s such a bad idea. I was really hoping the UFC had to know that. Because if Conor wins he’ll never defend.
Dustin is the only hope real fans of the sport have for keeping this division moving.
Possibly the best division in the UFC has been brought to it’s knees due to divas, and inactivity for going on 5 years.
He wasn't scared of Edgar nor Tony yet he didn't defend the beltYes I'm sure he's scared of gaethje
To slay the drama dragon, they need to find a new way to put it down for good.Conor has 4 losses in MMA and all were by submission. I highly doubt he will finish Conor with strikes. He might submit him if Conor gasses though. Dustin can put the pressure on if he makes it past the third round.

Do you think Conor demanded less money than he originally was asking for. It's a possibility. Or maybe just an adjustment on guaranteed purse. I am blindly speculating he is getting PPV points.
Lol...we all know who owns that belt...Dustin and Conor knows...
His win over Aldo was 7 years ago in a different division (and he refused to defend the Title in the rematch he promised so he could leverage the rest of his career off of a win that he could never repeat) and the Alverez win was 6 years ago against a guy who isn't even ranked today and also his only win in the division. His title wins v Aldo and Alvarez weren’t legit?
Especially considering at the time everyone was getting immediate rematches and Aldo, being the most dominant Champion/ fighter in the divisions history was the most deserving of an immediate rematch since Silva/ Weidman. Not to mention Conor promised him one in the cage after the fight.I think Aldo deserved a rematch. The same right when Conor first losing to Nate.
Allowing McGregor to fight for a belt he doesn't deserve and that he is unlikely to defend is the worst possible scenario for the UFC.
Damn this might be your first WYes I'm sure he's scared of gaethje
