The UFC really is a financial rip off !

Just dont buy all the cards. I work for the public school district here so I don't make a ton of money and have to be selective with what I purchase.

How do you not pay for cable and still get TV and internet?

Google is your friend.;)

you dont need cable to have internet.....as a matter of fact i dont have cable but i do have internet. an im watching fight pass on my tv on my firestick, loaded with kodi
How does internet signal come to your house? Here we have cable or dsl with the phone company as options afaik. No free wifi is provided by municipality.. I'm tech Luddite :p

through a router...i pay the cable company for just internet. its an option

I pay for fightpass (i dont see why a diehard mma fan wouldnt) I dont have cable and only pay,or go to a bar for the events i really want to see. Hardly a financial strain. If you really have no life and have the time to see every event live...well,lack of money and a tendency to whine isnt your only problem

WWE figured it out with the WWE Network. If only UFC had its equivalent

WWE is different, they have several weekly shows, and the format is completley different. Their biggest stars are constantly on tv.

It's amazing how many of these threads have started because of 1 card on Fight Pass. I have been ridiculed and laughed at repeatedly for being a Fight Pass subscriber while all these posters brag openly about watching illegal streams.

GET A FUCKING JOB YOU PIECES OF SHIT! MY TAX DOLLARS WILL NOT FUND YOUR LIFESTYLE.

My Mercedes was in the shop more in the first two years than my Honda was in 250k miles.

But I will pass on the itchy bum.
Itchy bum is not that bad, but it leads to smelly finger and I don't like that.

Fight pass: $96/yr

Avg of 13 PPVs a yr at $55 per = $715/yr

Fox Sports 1 available on cable deals around $60/month = $720/yr

This is not even including taxes.

That's an approximate total of $1,531 a year, $127/month.

This is utter bullshit. I love MMA, but the UFC is a big rip off. Given how many people watch illegal due to high costs, wouldn't the UFC be better off charging, say, $70/month, for everything - including Fight Night, PPVs, and the free FOX cards ?
If your company matches your 401k contributions, that's $3,000 per year..

Invest that 3,000 per year into the S&P 500 and you could probably retire after 40 years??

You do realize that unless you're in ~ the top 10% of income that other peoples' tax dollars ARE funding your lifestyle?

About 90% of the population doesn't make enough money to afford the government services they receive: K-12 education, garbage collection, public transportation and highways, etc.

If you received the government services that you actually pay for and didn't have richer tax payers funding your lifestyle, you'd have a second grade education, you'd live in a shack hoarded with garbage, and you wouldn't have a car because you wouldn't be able to afford to drive it.

Fight Pass- yep, up to you to decide if $96/yr is worth it to you or not. Free market. If enough people don't buy, the price will drop

PPVs- No one but the most financial stable should be buying each and every ppv, much less paying for each one themselves. They are sporting events, best viewed when watching with groups. Pick the 2-4 you're most interested in and have a group of people over. $5-10 each, it's what I do. Or go to a bar and for the price of 2 or 3 beers or an app to slowly munch on you get to watch it for far less than $60. So it's roughly $40 to watch the ppvs you most care about

FS1 is one channel of about 150 in that package for $60/month. You're not getting the big cable package just for tat one channel, and if you are you're an idiot. That channel is 40 cents per month split up like that

In a lot of states, you can't find a bar showing the UFC unless you want to drive like 2-3 hours into the only big city in the state.. And these are states where the population would automatically be UFC fans: Mississippi, Louisiana, and other redneck states.

UFC is missing out on lots of potential fans, probably millions, because of their business model.

Nobody is forcing you or tricking you into paying for their product. Personally I'm past any notion that I need to see every fight, even if they are free. There are only so many dollars in my pocket for entertainment and so many hours in the day.

Some of the PPVs/Fight Pass fights are shown for free on European/British television, so those whose 'moral compass' prevents them from "illegal streaming" (which it is not, it is a different product as some of the above posts have noted) can watch these online without having that uncomfortable internal turmoil.

Fight pass plus about 4-5 PPVs a year isn't bad.

First off, fuck you guys saying I'm poor. I'm not rich but I make $56,000 a year and am debt free.

Secondly, I never said I paid a dime for any of their shit. I only pay when I go to my bar for the PPVs. I watch the Fight Night and Fight Pass fights the next day.

Third; my $60/month estimate for Fox Sports 1 was based on the fact I would only buy the package for FS1.

My numbers are legit and ya'll can kiss my brown ass !

Noob, different timezone noob, impossible to watch it live noob, ..
Yes it is as live as on tv where time zones also matter, duh. Im talking about fight pass streaming. Not pirated.
Regardless, the pirated streams also reach the net faster than the torrent slightly

you're right but can you grantee you won't lose connection or get slower during big moment of the fights it's a big risk for me ( the internet in Saudi Arabia is slower than kimbo vs dada"s fight ) & you can also fast forward Buffer's crazy screams so it's a good deal ...
